I have to say, I'm disappointed it got to this stage. But if your first response to someone doing something you don't like is to ask if they want to fight, you're probably as immature as the people around you doing the original stupid stuff.
There was definitely fault on all sides here.
Hopefully AEW can get on without anymore drama for a bit now, but it's certainly a shame for us as fans that Punk's run with them has come to an end like this

No surprise was it? When two people don't get on, it will probably never work. But if true should AEW of treated CM Punk that way at London (I believe left him at airport, No one met him, sent him a fake taxi number. So Punk made his own way to Wembley stadium on tube with fans help) etc , what did they expect him to do after that? Do not want someone just release him. Good job there is NO wrestling union, or Khan would be in a mess for a big court case.
WWE CM Punk could be new and different Fodder for joke Roman Reigns?

I don't think anyone has said it was a fake number he was sent for the taxi, have they? Mistakes happen, and there is just as big a possibility he was accidentally given the wrong number, I would say.
Seeing the info coming out about this supposed meeting between The Elite and Punk's side which was meant to take place ahead of All In and then got cancelled, and it does seem TK may want to consider reminding The Bucks that they are EVPs and that does come with some greater responsibilities.
Whether it's a legal thing, or something else, I found it interesting that the AEW announcement referred to Punk's 'contracts', which seems to allude to him having another role in the company as well.

Between the Punk incidents and multiple people slapping Sammy Guevara, it sounds like AEW needs some locker room leaders that aren't cozying up to the boss and can keep things going in the right direction.

I don't think someone getting into repeated fights backstage should be seen as a opportunity to make money, I don't have some great hatred for punk, but in any other job if someone has twice gotten into two separate physical fights at their job it makes sense for them to be fired, and while it may have been in the past wrestling should not be an exception. |
