Nitro Wrestling 2.50 Jim Ross and Jim Cornette welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Shane Douglas vs. Harley Race for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. Cornette says the last title shot of the year is hotly contested and next week, the winners of Stanislaus Zbyszko vs. Ed Lewis and William Muldoon vs. Blackjack Mulligan will compete for a title shot. Ross introduces the first match.
1. Rod Fenton vs. Tiger Conway Jr Fenton works over Conway and hits a series of dropkicks for the win.
Winner - Rod Fenton by pinfall
Ross says Fenton is on a hot streak. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. Manny Fernandez vs. Greg Valentine Fernandez gets the early advantage but Valentine shuts him down and locks on the figure four. Fernandez taps out.

3. Stanislaus Zbyszko vs. Ed Lewis Zbyszko and Lewis come out swinging for the fences. The match spills all over the ring area. Zbsyzko wears down Lewis with a full nelson. Lewis and Zbyszko battle back and forth. Zbyszko hits a double arm suplex for a two count. Zbyszko wears down Lewis with a full nelson. Zbyszko clamps on the hammerlock and Lewis taps out.

4. Joe Malenko vs. Cowboy Bob Orton Orton dominates early on. Malenko makes a comeback and hits a butterfly suplex for a two count. Malenko locks on the cross armbreaker but Orton fights his way to the ropes. Malenko wears down Orton with a second cross armbreaker and hits a northern lights suplex for the win.

5. William Muldoon vs. Blackjack Mulligan Muldoon plants Mulligan with a flying head mare at the bell. Muldoon wears Mulligan down with a double shoulder lock. Mulligan makes a comeback and Muldoon plants him with a flying mare and locks on the double shoulder lock a second time. Muldoon locks on the hammerlock and half nelson and rolls Mulligan for a two count. .Muldoon hits the body lift and throw for a two count. Muldoon wears Mulligan down with another double shoulder lock. Muldoon wears Mulligan down with a hammerlock and half nelson. Muldoon applies the hammerlock and half nelson three more times and Mulligan is sucking wind. Mulligan makes a comeback but Muldoon plants him with the flying head mare and hits the body lift and throw for the win.

6. Shane Douglas vs. Harley Race - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title Race and Douglas battle back and forth. Douglas gets some momentum going and hits the Pittsburgh Plunge for a two count. Douglas hits a belly to belly suplex but Race gets his foot on the ropes. Race and Douglas battle all over the ring area. Race gets the advantage and hits a piledriver for a two count. Race and Douglas battle back and forth. Douglas hits a belly to belly suplex but can’t put Race away. Douglas hits another belly to belly suplex for a two count. Douglas screams at the referee! Douglas hits the rolling suplexes and covers Race but Race kicks out! Race and Douglas battle outside the ring and Race comes out on top! Race goes to the top rope but Douglas throws him to the mat. Douglas hits the Pittsburgh Plunge for the win.

Nitro Wrestling 2.51 Jim Ross and JIm Cornette welcome the fans to the penultimate show of year two and plug the main event, Stanislaus Zbyszko vs. William Muldoon to determine who will wrestle Shane Douglas for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title next week. Ross introduces the first match.
1. Marty Jannetty vs. Hugh Morris Jannetty takes the fight to Morris at the bell but can’t keep the big man down. Morris makes a comeback the tosses Jannetty out to the floor. Morris power bombs him on the concrete and Jannetty barely beats the count back into the ring. Morris hits a spinebuster for a two count. Jannetty hits a DDT out of nowhere to turn the match around. Jannetty hits a rocker dropper but Morris kicks out. Morris goes to the top but Jannetty throws him to the mat. Jannetty hits another rocker dropper but can’t put Morris away. Jannetty hits a dropkick for a two count. Jannetty hits two more rocker droppers but can’t keep Morris down. Morris makes a comeback and hits No Laughing Matter for the win.

2. Tiger Conway Jr vs. Johnny Mantell Conway gets the early advantage and hits the flying head scissors for a two count. Mantell makes a comeback and hits a forearm uppercut for the win.

4. Stanislaus Zbyszko Vs. William Muldoon - #1 contender Zbsyzko and Muldoon grapple back and forth. Zbyszko gets some momentum going and hits the half nelson and slam but Muldoon pops back up. Muldoon gets some momentum going and hits a flying head mare but Zbszyko rolls through and goes on the attack. Zbyszko rolls up Muldoon with the forearm grab and half halch for a near fall. Zbsyzko hits another half nelson and slam for a two count. Zbsyzko hits two more half nelson and slams but can’t keep Muldoon down. Zbyszko hits another half nelson and slam for the win.
Winner - Stanislaus Zbyszko by pinfall! Stanislaus Zbsyzko will wrestle Shane Douglas for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title next week!

Nitro Wrestling 3.1 Jim Ross and Jim Cornette welcome the fans to year three of Nitro Wrestling. Ross announces there has been a lot of roster turnover and Blackjack Mulligan, Stanislaus Zbyszko, and Farmer Burns have left the territory, among others. Ross throws it to Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas in the ring with Gordon Solie.
Douglas gets on the mic and runs down the Nitro Wrestling roster, saying no one in the building can beat him and he’s thinking of retiring as champion. Enter Sandman plays over the loudspeakers and The Sandman slowly makes his way down from the cheap seats, drinking beers as he comes. Security cuts off The Sandman before he can get to the ring. Shane says he’ll fight the Sandman in tonight’s main event.
Once the ring area is clear, Cornette introduces the first match.
1. Bobo Brazil vs. Larry Sharpe Sharpe jumps Brazil at the bell. Brazil hoists him up and hits a backbreaker for a two count. Brazil rocks Sharpe with a Coco Butt and gets the pinfall.
Winner - Bobo Brazil by pinfall
Ross puts over Bobo Brazil. Cornette wonders if Shane Douglas bit off more than he can chew with a drunken brawler like The Sandman. Ross introduces the next match.
2. Dutch Savage vs. Val Venis Savage and Venis battle back and forth. Savage crushes Venis with a clothesline for a two count. Venis tries making a comeback but Savage shuts him down and hits a running piledriver for a two count. Savage hits a thumb to the throat and covers Venis but Venis gets his foot on the ropes. Venis makes a comeback and hits the Money Shot but Savage kicks out. Venis works Savage over and hits a second Money Shot but can’t put him away. Dutch and Venis battle outside the ring and Dutch comes out on top. Dutch hits a double ax handle for the win.

Cornette says Venis made Dutch work for it. Ross introduces the next match.
3. Ed Lewis vs. Redd Dogg Redd Dogg roughs up Lewis at the bell. Lewis turns things around and wears Redd Dogg down with a double wristlock. Lewis hits a strangler’s headlock but Redd Dogg kicks out. Lewis hits a bear hug power bomb for the win.

Ross says Lewis needs one big win to get back into the World title picture. Cornette agrees and introduces the main event, pointing out Dan Spivey sitting a few rows from ringside.
4. Shane Douglas vs. The Sandman - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight championship Douglas and Sandman battle back and forth. The Franchise gets some momentum going and hits the Pittsburgh Plunge for a two count. The two men battle back and forth. Douglas wears the Sandman down with a figure four. Douglas hits the belly to belly suplex for the win.
Winner - Shane Douglas by pinfall, his third title defense
After the match, the Sandman canes Douglas, busting him open. Dan Spivey comes out of the crowd and brawls with the Sandman. Ross and Cornette sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week when Harley Race takes on Ed Lewis in the main event.

Nitro Wrestling 3.2 Ross and Cornette welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Harley Race vs. Ed Lewis with the winner taking on Shane Douglas for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title in two weeks. Ross mentions that The Sandman will be taking on Dan Spivey and Shane Douglas has stated he will give the Sandman another shot at the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title if he wins. Cornette introduces the first match.
1. Wilbur Snyder vs. Jake Milliman Ross is elated that Snyder has returned. Milliman tries attacking Snyder at the bell but Snyder takes him down with a flying head scissors. Snyder locks on the Abdominal Stretch and Milliman taps out.

Ross says Snyder is another person gunning for Shane Douglas’ Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. Cornette introduces the next match.
2. Tracy Smothers vs. Eric the Red Eric works over Smothers and goes to the top rope for a knee drop. Smothers rolls out of the way and covers Eric for a two count. Eric and Smothers battle back and forth. Smothers hits a jumping wheel kick for the win.

Ross says Smothers is tougher than a nickel steak. Cornette groans and introduces the next match.
3. Sandman vs. Dan Spivey with Shane Douglas Sandman and Spivey battle back and forth. Sandman hits a piledriver for a two count. Sandman blasts Spivey with the cane and covers him for a two count. Douglas paces back and forth at ringside, shouting encouragement to Spivey. Sandman hits the White Russian Legsweep for a two count. Sandman and Spivey brawl outside the ring. Douglas distracts the Sandman long enough for Spivey to get the advantage. Sandman makes a comeback and nails Spivey with the cane again. Sandman covers Spivey for the win.
Winner - The Sandman by pinfall
After the match, Douglas gets on the mic and says he’ll take on Sandman again next week WITHOUT Spivey in his corner. The Sandman agrees and clobbers Douglas with the singapore cane, busting him open. The Sandman puts the boots to Douglas until security arrives. Ross and Cornette introduce the main event.
4. Harley Race vs. Ed Lewis Race and Lewis grapple back and forth. Lewis wears down Race with a neck yoke. Lewis works Race over and hits the Strangler’s Headlock for a two count. Race and Lewis battle back and forth. Race makes a comeback but Lewis shuts him down. Race and Lewis battle back and forth. Lewis wears down Race with another neck yoke. Race and Lewis brawl outside the ring and Race comes out on top. Race hits a piledriver for a two count. Race punishes Lewis but can’t keep him on the mat. Race and Lewis battle back and forth. Race hits another piledriver for the win.
