Davey manhandles Candido at the bell. Davey hits the running power slam for the win.

2. Jim Brunzell vs. Tommy Rich
Brunzell and Rich grapple back and forth. Brunzell hits a high flying dropkick for a two count. Rich makes a comeback and hits a big right hand for the win.
Winner - Tommy Rich by pinfall. Rich will face Davey Boy Smith in the third round.
3. Frank Gotch vs. William Muldoon
Gotch and Muldoon grapple back and forth. Gotch hits a waistlock takeover for a one count. Gotch locks on the reverse nelson but Muldoon gets his foot on the ropes. Gotch locks on the Gotch Toehold and Muldoon taps out.

4. Vader vs. Johnny Valentine
Vader and Valentine bludgeon each other with stuff shots. Valentine hits an atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Valentine and Vader brawl outside the ring and the referee loses control and calls for the bell.

Jim Ross and Curt Hennig welcome the fans to the show. Ross says the show is stacked with Davey Boy Smith vs. Tommy Rich with the winner taking on Frank Gotch for the Sandow Cup, plus a rematch between Johnny Valentine and Vader and Stanislaus Zbyszko vs. Buddy Rogers for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title!
1. Davey Boy Smith vs. Tommy Rich
Davey and Rich battle all over the ring area. Rich hits a Thesz Press for a two count. Rich wears Davey down with the Wildfire Sleeper. Davey makes a comeback and hits a superplex for a two count. Davey scoops up Rich and hits the running power slam for the win.
Winner - Davey Boy Smith by pinfall. Smith will face Frank Gotch in the finals.
2. Johnny Valentine vs. Vader
Valentine gets the early advantage and nails Vader with a forearm hammer for a two count. Vader and Valentine battle back and forth. Vader hits a power bomb but Valentine kicks out. Valentine makes a comeback and drills Vader with an atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Vader makes a comeback and hits another power bomb for the win.

4. Stanislaus Zbyszko vs. Buddy Rogers - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title match
Rogers and Zbyszko battle back and forth. Zbyszko wears Rogers down with a full nelson. Zbyszko wears Rogers down with a hammerlock. Zbyszko hits three half nelson and slams. Rogers makes a comeback and locks on the figure four grapevine. Zbyszko taps out.
Winner - Buddy Rogers by submission. Rogers has regained the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title.
Rogers refuses to release the hold after the match. Harley Race comes out of the crowd and goes to the top rope. Race hits the diving head butt on Rogers! Race puts the boots to Rogers until security storms the ring!

Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event, Buddy Rogers vs. Frank Gotch for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. Ross says Vader, Billy Wicks, and Wilbur Snyder have left the territory. Douglas introduces the first match.
1. Harley Race vs. George South
Race trounces South and hits the diving head butt for the win.

Douglas says Race is in great shape. Ross introduces the next match.
2. Lanny Poffo vs Les Thatcher
Poffo and Thatcher battle back and forth. Poffo hits the Sky Drop for a two count. Poffo and Thatcher trade the advantage. Poffo hits another Sky Drop for the win.

Ross says Poffo is hanging in there. Douglas introduces the next match.
3. Rick Rude vs. Jim Brunzell
Rude tears into Brunzell at the bell. Brunzell hits a sunset flip for a two count to turn things around. Rude and Brunzell battle all over the ring area. Brunzell rolls Rude up in a small package for a two count. Rude makes a comeback and hits a top rope sledge hammer for a two count. Rude hits the Rude Awakening but Brunzell gets his foot on the ropes. Rude and Brunzell battle outside the ring. Rude goes to hit Brunzell with a chair. Brunzell takes the chair and brains Rude with it. The referee calls for the bell.

Douglas says Brunzell had Rude’s number most of the match. Ross introduces the main event.
4. Buddy Rogers Vs. Frank Gotch - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title match
Rogers works over Gotch after the opening bell. Rogers hits a piledriver for a two count. Gotch and Rogers battle back and forth. Gotch wears Rogers down with a reverse nelson. Roger rolls out of the ring and attacks Gotch as he comes through the ropes. Gotch and Rogers battle back and forth. Rogers pins Gotch using the ropes.
Winner - Buddy Rogers, his first title defense
After the match, Rogers motions to the back and Johnny Valentine comes down to ringside. Rogers and Valentine beat up Gotch until security arrives. Ross and Douglas sign off, telling fans to tune in next week.

Shane Douglas and JIm Ross welcome the fans to the show and announce the main event, Johnny Valentine vs. Frank Gotch. Ross introduces the first match.
1. Harley Race vs. Tom Stone
Stone gets the upper hand and goes for a standing knee drop but Race rolls out of the way and locks on the Indian Deathlock. Race hits the vertical suplex for the win.
Winner - Harley Race by pinfall
Ross says Race is in top form. Douglas introduces the next match.
2. Ilio DiPaolo vs. Blackjack Mulligan
DiPaolo starts strong but Mulligan nails him with a big boot to the face for a two count. Mulligan locks on the Blackjack Claw but DiPaolo reaches the ropes. Mulligan clobbers DiPaolo with a lariat for a two count. DiPaolo makes a comeback and nails Mulligan with big right hands for a two count. DiPaolo hoists Mulligan up in the airplane spin. Mulligan submits.

Ross says DiPaolo might earn a title shot yet. Douglas introduces the next match.

Taylor gets in some offense and hits a super kick for a two count. Race bounces back and hits a piledriver for the win.

Ross says he wouldn’t want to be Buddy Rogers when Harley Race comes after him. Douglas introduces the next match.
2. The Patriot vs. Chris Candido
The Patriot and Candido battle back and forth. The Patriot goes to the top but Candido goes up after him and hits the huracanrana and covers him for a two count. Candido hits the Blond Bomb but The Patriot kicks out. The Patriot recovers and hits the Patriot Missile for the win.
Winner - The Patriot by pinfall
Douglas says Candido was robbed. Ross introduces the next match.
3. Tommy Rich vs. Pampero Firpo
Rich and Firpo battle all over the ring area. Firpo chokes Rich with an electrical cord and is disqualified.

Ross and Douglas introduce the main event.
4. Buddy Rogers Vs. Stanislaus Zbyszko - Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title match
Zbsyzko gets the early advantage and whips Rogers to the buckles. Zbyskzo misses a turnbuckle splash and goes tumbling to the outside. Rogers throws him back in and hits an atomic drop for a two count. Rogers tries pinning Zbyszko using the ropes but Zbyszko kicks out. Rogers locks on the figure four grapevine but Zbyszko fights his way to the ropes. Rogers locks on the figure four grapevine a second time for the win.
Winner - Buddy Rogers by submission, his second title defense
After the match, Harley Race comes down to ringside. Race gets on the mic and says he never exercised the rematch clause in his contract when Rogers beat him for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title last year. Race says Rogers has a date with destiny in two weeks!
Douglas and Ross sign off, telling the fans to tune in next week.

Jim Ross and Shane Douglas welcome the fans to the show. Ross says it’s the calm before the storm of next week’s big main event of Buddy Rogers vs. Harley Race for the Nitro Wrestling World Heavyweight title. Ross says tonight features three big rematches - Tommy Rich vs. Pampero Firpo, Rick Rude vs. Jim Brunzell, and Johnny Valentine vs. Frank Gotch. One of the men could get a title shot by year’s end. Douglas introduces the first match.
1. Stanislaus Zbyszko vs. Scott Taylor
Taylor gets in some offense but Zbyszko nails him with the half nelson and slam for a two count. Zbsyzko locks on the hammerlock and Taylor taps out.
Winner - Stanislaus Zbyszko by submission
2. Tommy Rich vs. Pampero Firpo
Rich and Firpo battle back and forth. Rich misses a turnbuckle charge and FIrpo rolls him up for a two count. Firpo locks on El Garfio but Rich fights his way to the ropes. Rich makes a comeback but Firpo shuts him down and locks on El Garfio a second time. Rich fights his way out of the hold. Firpo locks on El Garfio a third time for the win.

After the match, Rude says he doesn’t care if the champion is Buddy Rogers, Harley Race, or anyone else, that he demands a title shot. Rude drops the mic and Douglas introduces the main event.

Valentine and Gotch come out throwing bombs. Gotch wears Valentine down with a crossface and bar arm. Valentine makes a comeback and hits a big chop to the chest for a two count. Valentine hits an atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Valentine hits a big chop to the chest and Gotch barely gets his foot on the ropes. Valentine nails Gotch with another atomic skullcrusher and Gotch somehow manages to get his shoulder up. Gotch makes a comeback but Valentine drills him with another chop to the chest for a two count. Gotch makes a comeback and clamps on the Gotch Toehold. Valentine taps out.

After the match, Firpo gouges Muldoon with a foreign object and clamps on El Garfio until security pulls him off. Ross says Firpo is a wild beast. Douglas introduces the next match.

Gotch and Rude grapple back and forth. Gotch hits a sunset flip for a two count to turn things around. Gotch wears Rude down with three reverse nelsons. Rude makes a comeback and hits a suplex for a two count. Rude hits the Rude Awakening for a two count. Rude hits another Rude Awakening but can’t put Gotch away. Rude hits a piledriver but Gotch gets his foot on the ropes. Rude hits a third Rude Awakening for the win.

Rogers works over Race after the bell and gets near falls with two piledrivers. The two men battle all over the ring area. Race goes for the Indian Deathlock but Rogers rolls out of the ring. The two men brawl outside the ring. Rogers grabs a pipe from under the ring and drills Race in the knee with it. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner - Harley Race by DQ
Stanislaus Zbyszko quickly comes to Race’s aid. Rogers parades to the back, the crowd showering him with trash, as the show goes off the air.
