I mentioned this in a text to the guys. But one of the names of new promoters that caught my attention was David Shoemaker, assuming its the same guy. He is a pretty prominent in wrestling media these days as host of the Ringer Wrestling podcast The Masked Man show, and has been in a bunch of WWE and other wrestling documentaries. Also wrote a book and used to write for Deadspin in the Dead Wrestler of the week column.
