This movie, which just got released in theaters last night, is also available as of last night on Peacock so if you have Peacock for WWE then you have access to this movie at no additonal cost.
I watched this movie last night on Peacock but I did not think it was very good. My understanding is that it is a big departure from the popular and more fast paced video game it is based upon and it fails as a horror movie since it does not have much suspense (the PG-13 rating does not help in this regard IMO.)

I didnt think much of it either Vegas. I watched it with my Son. He thought it was great so I guess as a horror movie for kids it hit the mark but True horror fans will be extremely dissatisfied.
And Bazzy I agree. The way it loosely inserted something as serious as child abduction was odd. The pendulum swings from hokey to dark is why you can’t take the movie seriously. I felt the movie only used serious themes because thats the only tension they could create in a film about murdering people. Should’ve focused that energy on the confrontations.

Bunch a friends worked on this so I had to check it out. Glad I could watch it on streaming. Wasn't the best film ever made but wasn't as bad as a lot of the press led me to believe. Happy Blumhouse is set on using actual puppets for things like this and M3GAN. Keep us in work!

After it was over, we both looked at each other and said "was that movie for us or was it that bad?" We both agreed it was that bad, lol. I ended up giving it one star on my letterboxd But @throwingtoasters...we both really loved the animatronics/puppetry in it. Tell your friends that did it they did a great job.

Yeah, I think the younger fanbase is definitely more likely to enjoy this movie but for me it is another example of video games overall not making good movies with some definite exceptions (for example I really liked this year's The Super Mario Bros Movie.) On a side note about video game movies, I would like to see movies based on the Arkham Trilogy. I was thinking of this earlier today as I plan to get the Arkham Trilogy for my Switch when it is released next month as I enjoyed previously playing these games on Playstation.

I watched this on Peacock Network and I feel like I got my money's worth. Had I paid to see it in a theater I would have been a little let down. It was just mostly flat except for the cool animatronics and the big finish. Nothing horrible, just not what I was expecting.

We watched this last night for family movie night (My 5 year old had been wanting to see it). All of my kids are huge horror movie fans (even the 2 year old who loves Troll & The Boy).
I thought it was pretty good. I thought the tie-in to child abductions to a Chuck E Cheese type of place was pretty creepy and spooky and made a lot of sense. Great animatronics.
I watch A LOT of horror movies - I’m less into gore and more into suspenseful horror - and I’ve seen a lot worse.
I’d prob watch it again.
