NOW set review

I got the Northern Outlaw Wrestling set in the mail the other day. A solid group of guys, both low and mid carders. I won't include Arik Cannon or Eddie Fyne in the review since those cards have been out awhile.

I want to first start off by giving kudos to Eddie Fyne and Werner and everyone else who worked on the set. The art is well done. Eddie did a nice job of working on the cards. And thanks to everyone else who contributed to this set. It is appreciated.

Nathan Arnold Charging--Former partner of Torrac Hayes and charge of Fyne. A solid mid-card guy. Uses alot of submissions, but looks like he enjoys brawling too.

Patriot III--classic mid-card face. Possibly the strongest card in NOW. Favorite art in the set. Great job Werner.

Torrac Hayes--a classic brawler, lower card guy.

Barking Spiders--great gimmick. Power tag team, won't dominate but will make some noise and always be around some indy tag gold.

Benny Blades--this hot headed Irish brawler will spice up any fed.

Rob James--Mr. 6% Body Fat is a classic vain heel, but looks like he can back it up too. Capable of using his agility to win and certainly not above doing whatever it takes to win. Rivals Patriot III as the top guys in this set.

Dirty Ernie--Could work as a face or heel. Nothing pretty about his offense, he will just knock your lights out.

The Northstar Express--solid mid card arrogant heels. Can hold their own in high flying matches and will break every rule to win.

Referee Nate--The boys better walk the line or Nate will set them straight!

This is the first I have heard of this set. Where did it come from, who put it together, and who is selling it?

NOW is the midwest indy run by LOTF star Eddie Fyne. He announced a set and webcast back in April or so. The webcast fell though, but the set is still for sale. It is a well done set, with art by Werner. You can find additional information on it at www.northernoutlawwrestling.com

The set sells for $5 plus S & H.

How is the quality of the cards? Are they the same size as the LOW cards?
The reason I ask, the cards that came in the Indy Pulse magazine were smaller in size.

Cards are same size as LOW cards. Stock is abit thinner than LOW stock, but thick enough. A few cards were printed on glossy paper, not sure why, but gives them a cool appearance.

The cards are well done and follow all the official guidelines I believe. No one will dominate an LOTF fed, but a couple will be towards the top, most in the middle or towards the bottom of card. Just what you would expect. Truthfully, for $5 plus S&H, it is worth it. Adds depth to any LOTF fed.

Just ordered my set. How long does it take you to receive your set?

I mailed my order in, but depending on where you live, shouldn't take more than a few days from when he receives your order. to ship the set out.
