Christmas came early for me in a moment of serendipity.
Flashback to late 90s when I picked up a cheap football game in a hospital gift shop. It was a card game where I had to punch the cards out of a light cardboard to make a deck. It was a simple but fun football game. When on offense you decide to run in the middle, to the outside, try a short pass or a long pass. You flip a card and read the results. The cards also has results for kickoffs, punts, field goals and extra points. You could play alone or with someone else. It was simple sure but a quick play. Sadly over one of a couple moves I lost it.
Today I was in Ollie's, a discount store like Big Lots, and was in one of two checkout lanes. The guy in front of me called his wife over from the other lane. After a bit I see the other lane is short so I moved there. As I stood there I look at the shelf and see this game. I read it and sounded like the game I lost. It was only three bucks so picked it up. It's exactly the same. Came with a deck of cards, a folding field with peg holes for every yard, for the downs and pegs to keep track. I am quite happy. The box is the size of a smaller cellphone but just thicker so easy to carry. Not sure where one can find it. Online maybe. But if looking for a fun, inexpensive and easy to play game I would recommend it.
