Thanksgiving. We didn't have access to closed circuit or PPV when I was young so I never got to watch it live, but it always seemed like a Thanksgiving event to me. Until the NWA screwed themselves in 1987 by not having the Road Warriors beat Tully & Arn for the tag straps IN CHICAGO. It was all downhill from there.

I think of a VHS rental from the video store.

Although I never saw Starcade live, I think more Thanksgiving than Christmas partly because the first Survivor Series was on Thanksgiving to counter Starcade.

Because the first Starrcade (?) was nearer to Thanksgiving, I would say Thanksgiving more than Christmas. Wouldn't it be nearer to December 25th if Christmas?

Starting in 1988 Starrcade was the December PPV, usually a few days before or after Christmas. The early Starrcades were Thanksgiving, but most most were Christmas time.
