- Despite his recent suspension in Ring of Mexico (ROM,) Mil Muertes was granted permission to compete in this VIU Cup tournament as he met the required qualifications.
- A good match, Warner won via his LARIAT.
Match #25: Bryan Danielson defeated Wes Briscoe in a VIU Singles Cup First Round match
- Briscoe put up quite a fight against Danielson and even scored multiple pin attempts. Danielson however got the victory via a Tiger suplex.

Match #26: Roderick Strong defeated "Bruiserweight" Pete Dunne in a VIU Singles Cup First Round match
- A good match. Dunne scored several pin attempts against Strong but Strong won via END OF HEARTACHE.

- A goodd match. Despite being out of his frequent element in this non-deathmatch setting, Gage won this match via his CHOKE BREAKER.
Match #29: "The Cleaner" Kenny Omega defeated Willie Mack in a VIU Singles Cup First Round match
- A good match. Omega hit CROYT'S WRATH and at first it was not enough to win the match but then Omega immediately hit CROYT'S WRATH again and this time it was enough to secure the victory.
- As a result, it will be Nick Gage vs Kenny Omega in the Second Round.
Match #30: AJ Styles defeated Brian Cage in a VIU Singles Cup First Round match
- Styles won this match via his STYLES CLASH.
Match #31: "Filthy" Tom Lawlor defeated "Sick" Nick Mondo in a VIU Singles Cup First Round match
