I am home from work and exhausted after closing out First Semester today (I can't believe we are aready 1/2 way through the school year.)
I was considering going to a lucha show tonight with some friends but I don't think there are any big names on that show and I just want to stay home and rest. So I am watching Final Battle which is starting now with Zero Hour (1st match is Jazmine Allure vs Taya Valkyrie.)

I am only just over an over through the main show, but Ethan Page vs Tony Nese in that I Quit match will be hard to top. What a match!! I am a big Ethan Page fan, love that he has been getting a chance to shine in ROH of late. Really hope if it doesn't translate to some more meaningful time on AEW programming, then it can at least show that ROH can be more of its own thing and would be great with some more time and story thought invested in it outside of a couple of good things

As far as the match goes, Billie Starkz and Athena put on a superb main event, worthy of any era of ROH in my opinion.

I thought Final Battle was a really good show available through Honor Club.
I think I made the right call to stay home and watch this show instead of trying to go to the lucha show on Friday night as I briefly passed out on the couch due to exhaustion shortly after the show ended as last week to end the semester is always my second busiest week of the year. The only week busier is the very last week of work in May which is great because that is also Double or Nothing Week in Las Vegas with wrestling every day for like 5 straight days with Dynamite/Rampage/ROH/GCW/FSW/Nerd Bar shows, etc.

Vikingo vs Black Taurus, the Survival of the Fittest match, Ethan Page vs Tony Nese, FTR and Mark Briscoe vs BCC, and that amazing main event between Billie Starkz and Athena, all such good matches! |
