The (Comprised) Golden Age of the GWF:
The Galactic Wars finally ended in 2073...Still in shock...many wondered whether the banning of violent sports...may have indirectly led to the Galactic Wars by forcing people...(and beings)...to turn their aggression inwards...until their emotions reached a boiling point...and exploded...One result was that the United Federation of Stars and Planets ban was overturned...and out of the ashes of the infamous...Pleiades Outlaw Wrestling...the Galactic Wrestling Federation was founded...by Omega and Morpheus in 2074...The new hope...was that the GWF would represent a form of catharsis...or as Omega said..."A way for people to express their aggressive urges...without...turning to war...or destruction"...
However...
In order to turn their dream...into a reality...Omega and Morpheus desperately needed financial backing...and fortunately for us all...they found it...in the only group that agreed to it...the pioneering...scientific...yet somewhat questionable corporation known throughout the galaxy as...Galactic Champions Incorporated...
But in order to assure GCIs' backing...they had to make...a few...concessions...
They had to accept...and agree to...GCI wanting to add to the Galactic Wrestling Federations' roster...via..."Only a few"...hand picked choices...that they themselves wanted...facilitated...and negotiated for...through former contacts at P.O.W...and a few...unnamed sources...
Still determined to get the GWF off the ground & in spite of colossal arguing between Omega and Morpheus - they accepted...as did the hand picked choices...for that matter...and for a multitude of reasons...

Further Developments:
The coalition of beings running the GWF, (aka Omega of Cetus, Morpheus of Aldebaran and a few unknown representatives from GCI and the UFSP), after much arguing, have decreed that the remainder of the GALAXIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP tournament - shall be competed for under the negotiated version of Pleiades Outlaw Wrestling Rules.
Torpor has pulled some strings both within the GWF and on his home planet of Cygnus to dispatch a fellow officer, (and former subordinate) of Torpors who fought with and along side him in the Galactic Wars. He will be in Torpor's corner for every match he has in the championship tournament - and will be forming a future tag team with Torpor.

The rest of the tournament was fun to roll out & write up. The final bout was the most contested (and longest) bout of the tournament. Thanks for being in the seats brother! |

- Blacklash pinned Solar Flare after his SUNDOWN (A Falling DDT) at 15:05.
- Lou Thesz pinned Thetis after his Released Power Bomb maneuver at 3:50.

Word of how well the GWF is paying, coupled with the fact that they seem to be the only game in town, has now set many in motion, that are desperately trying to get in...The overwhelming number of the tryouts have sadly...been quite horrible...In fact there are only two individuals out of the lot that are..."Even remotely worth their salt"...and have been signed.
The skinnier one convinced the stockier one to push up their plans of trying to make a living out of professional wrestling, under the so called auspices of..."Bringing their home world glory etc"....There names are...Tantalis and Parsec...and they hail from the Estoria planetary system.
Third Round Match Results:
- K.O. Keller defeated Santon The Loner when the referee awarded the victory to Keller via a Technical Knock Out after his THE TEN COUNT at 3:26.
- Lou Thesz forced Blacklash to submit to his Double Wristlock hold at 3:20.
- Harley Race pinned Buddy Rogers after his DIVING HEAD BUTT alternate finisher at 9:48.
- Bullwhip pinned Gorgeous George (with Cherie Dupre) after his TWELVE O'CLOCK HIGH (A Slam To The Mat From Being Seated On The Turnbuckle) at 6:05.
Further Developments:
The USFP and GCI have been just as important to the GWF as Omega of Cetus and Morpheus of Aldebaran have & they have been using this to their advantage...Not only for financial gains and even glory - but as means to their own political ends.
As a result, they have taken a..."Bird in the hand...Keep you're enemies closer" kind of approach and have signed some more of their..."hand picked choices"...for their own reasons.
Two of the three have hit it off nicely...A being named Kraken and another named Khan...they seemed to have worked out their initial mistrust of one another...and will be forming a tag team who along with the Estorians will be competing in the upcoming GWF GALAXIAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT.
They are still working on the case of the Third of the Three...especially on just who will be the lucky one to tell Morpheus of Aldebaran and...the the even luckier one...who will tell Omega of Cetus.
Fourth Round Match Results:
- Lou Thesz pinned K.O. Keller after his GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP primary finisher at 6:27.
- Harley Race pinned Bullwhip after his PILEDRIVER primary finisher at 15:36.
Further Developments:
The Third "political" signing of the three coordinated by GCI and the UFSP...has turned out to be Jack Hood...and it didn't go over well.
Not even Morpheus could control Omega...who went on a full blown furniture tossing rampage during the meeting and at this particular brouhaha...the GWF very nearly ceased to exist.
A contingent of wrestlers on the roster were immediately summoned to the meeting and although it took some time and some doing...things started to settle down.
Morpheus was eventually able to settle down Omega and reason with him. One of Morpheus's biggest selling points to Omega, (along with the fact that even Morpheus realizes that Jack Hood will bring astronomical ratings and profits to the GWF) was..."At least there isn't any Aethran presence here...because then...we would really have...some problems".
Championship Final Round Match Results:
- Lou Thesz pinned Harley Race after his THESZ PRESS secondary finisher at 21:38.
LOU THESZ HAS WON THE GWF GALAXIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP !!!
Further Developments:
A significant amount of the fans in attendance...and throughout the galaxy who are either currently on Earth...or were originally from Earth...were truly excited to see with their own eyes legends from Earth's past competing for the GWF GALAXIAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP...and quite stoked to see..."one of their own"...become the inaugural champion...
However...The majority of the galaxy didn't like it...
They didn't like it at all...
Leading many of the beings and institutions in power...to try to..."stack the deck against the Earth"...as well as accelerate plans in bringing new competition to the GWF...that in retrospect...were about to make their debuts ahead of time...
As well as (alternately)...approaching additional legends of Earth's past...try to sign them...many did not...
But some did...

Having Omega and Morpheus hit the showers early was not good, but the tournament finished strong with an epic matchup in the final. I would think a rematch will occur down the road. Keep up the great action.
