For months and months I have not seen the Huy Fong style sriracha in stores. This is the most well known brand, the one with a rooster on the bottle. I found some other brand that was ok but not the OG. Well I finally found it in the most unexpected place. I was at Wal-Mart looking at the food sets they sell for Christmas and there is was. A set with a big bowl, a thing of ramen noodles, a pair of chopsticks and a small bottle of sriracha sauce. I only wanted the sauce but I bought it anyways. I will get use out of the rest. So yea, if anyone is looking for the sauce you now know where to look.

Today, just a few weeks since buying the gift set, I was at Publix and saw a few bottles of Sriracha. Just my luck.

I really like their Sambal chili sauce and I haven’t seen it in well over a year. I was in the Asian market the other day and they had 1 gallon jugs of it! More than I could ever use before it went bad.
I guess there was some lost chili pepper crops in Mexico that lead to the shortage. Hopefully this year they can recover.

Yeah, I like siracha too. When I picked up my spicy chicken teriyaki dinner tonight at the local teriyaki restaurant, I wanted to get some siracha packets but they were out of stock today.
On a side note about teriyaki, it is OK in Las Vegas but nowhere near as good as it is in Seattle and Hawaii IMO based on my personal experiences.
