Slaughter and Crusher is/was a good matchup as it seems like it was fun to roll. Surprised about Thesz, but now Wahoo and Nikita should tear it up. Those two have had some good matches for me and is reminiscent of Nikita’s title unification over Wahoo in 1986 (US vs National titles).
Great start to the tournament!

The Iron Sheik always has good matches with guys like Ted Dibiase and Bockwinkel for me. Something about how their moves mesh well during the match but may go with Nick here.

I am going out on a limb here and taking The Iron Sheik to somehow advance and give Mr. Bockwinkel next years tournament off.
