I think Studd with Heenan should be enough to get past Backlund and move on to the next round.

I'll go with Backlund too. He's nearly impossible to defeat in my Legends Fed.

Backlund and Studd is a rematch from their WWF title matches. Backlund takes it with a fast count for a special referee, haha!

Backlund uses his skills to avoid Studd’s power and get control early on. Studd with tackles but Backlund quickly counters back. Boston Crab from Backlund. Piledriver stuns Studd. Delayed vertical suplex. OMG! 1 count only (R7/P2). Backlund to the top . . . cross body. Studd catches him. Slam to the mat. Cover for 1 (R6/P1). Studd mounts the corner . . . Backlund knocks him to the mat! 1, 2, kick out (R5/P3). Heenan is losing his mind! Another piledriver. Studd fires back with forearms. Backlund’s dropkick is shoved aside. Hammerlock is countered. Bear hug from Studd finally stops Backlund. Big elbow drop follows. 1, 2, kick out (R5/P2). The trade moves. Studd back to the bear hug to slow it down. Headscissors from Backlund. Another delayed vertical suplex. Roaring. Studd sends Backlund into the ropes and tackles. Back to the bear hug. Shoulder block. Both men are countering each other to perfection. Studd back to the bear hug again. Clothesline drops Backlund. Kick in the corner. Multiple shoulder blocks against the buckle! Bear hug. Backlund is in trouble. Clothesline drops Backlund. 1 count only (R10/P3) ROARING! Studd is frustrated. Tosses Backlund outside. Backlund drags Studd to the floor. Body slam to the concrete! Back in the ring. Piledriver. Studd rolls to the floor. Backlund is out. Brawling. Studd grabs chair. Backlund takes it and smashes Studd. James Beard calls for the disqualification. The opening round upsets continue!

bookerbill How are you able to kind of keep a play-by-play? Are you writing each move down or using another system? Just curious. I write notes on how the match went for myself, but I couldn't remember all the detail you do for match recaps, it's impressive.

Backlund wins a classic, and need to pick Angle as his card is one of my favorites since entering the game.
