Yeah that DK card is a sleeper against 250 pounders and below . He can really match up well .

Referee: Morgan Dollar
Rich presses the action early. A big right uppercut causes Kid to think things over on the floor. Rich comes out and Kid shoves Dr. Mike Lano into Rich and attacks. HEAT. Back in the ring, Kid takes over. Both men rebound off the ropes and collide in the middle of the ring. Kid is up first . . . DIVING HEAD BUTT. 1 COUNT ONLY (R11/P4). Superplex. Cover for one and half (R7/P3). DIVING HEAD BUTT. 1, 2, 3 (R5/P6).

No advantage early on. Valentine and Patterson reverse whips to the corner . . . Valentine charges into Patterson’s clothesline. Valentine rolls out to the floor. Patterson comes out. Valentine shoves Dr. Mike Lano into Patterson and then attacks him. Back in the ring, a two-finger eye poke stops Valentine. Patterson with a right uppercut and double chop to the neck. Patterson covers for a two count (R6/P1). Waistlock atomic drop. Valentine bails. Patterson comes out after him. Valentine rams a chair into Patterson’s stomach! Marella calls for the disqualification. That makes three top ten seeds eliminate in the opening round so far!
That wraps up the top half of the draw. The bottom half gets underway with the following match up . . .
Antonio Inoki (2) v. Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré (63)
