Bill Hayes - known for portraying Doug Williams on Days Of Our Lives for over FIVE DECADES - passes away at age 98. During my college years, I got into Days. Bill and his real-life/on screen wife Susan Seaforth Hayes were the cornerstone of that show forever as Doug & Julie Williams. |

Because Jackie Gleason has a decent career after. Anyways, I am surprised too here she had still been alive. I had figured all the adults on the show has passed by now. RIP |

I meant she made money from the show itself. If I'm remembering right, her husband made sure she got residuals from the show if it played afterwards which it has done since.

Ah ok. Yes, residuals were not a big thing back then from what I understand. Good on her husband for doing that.
