Question if the NGO guys can remember: was "Pat Crase" based on Frye? I came up with the concept of Pat Crase, as a rulebreaking shootfighter. Since MMA (not even called that in those days) was still new, I thought it would be funny to have a guy who called himself a shootfighter but would constantly break the rules, particularly as a future enemy to Pullos. I think for the artwork, the rest of us would give any guidance to Mike Delve and he would relay the message to Randy Bugdale since Mike lived near him. I seem to recall somebody had the suggestion for Crase to resemble Frye but Bugdale pretty much made Crase a Frye clone. While I was aware of Frye from the UFC, as Chad, Tim, my dad, and I saw him at UFX IX in Detroit in '96, I hadn't seen any of his pro wrestling at this point and I was not aware that he was more of a heel. That part was coincidental. The other guys might remember more of the details on the artwork ( TDalton, Chad Olson).

Yep, the concept was a blowhard MMA type who wasn't as skilled as he thought he was and always cheated. Don't recall having Frye in mind, but that was the artwork we got from Randy, so we ran with it.

DDP not available in drop down box when doing a custom roster. Blank space at top.

DDP not available in drop down box when doing a custom roster. Blank space at top. This is an issue that Mike M should be able to fix. He does a great job on everything.

Who else reads the handbooks in Stu’s voice?

Who else reads the handbooks in Stu’s voice? My favorite thing about the handbook is that Stu writes like he talks. It feels like he's sitting around telling you the story of these guys.

Hearing Stu talk about Paul Jones and you, TDalton, talk about Johnny Powers makes them near the top of my list for greatest legends wants (Dusty Rhodes, Dick The Bruiser, Dick Murdoch, Barry Darsow, and JBL being the others)

As an aside, it was very nice to see Tim and Stu again even if Tim has a bad tendency to misname me. I would LOVE Johnny Powers and I have multiple ideas for Jones whether they did him as a face or heel. Talked with Mike M about various Legends topics and it was nice getting the thought process on how they decide what wrestlers go in what sets and such. There's a lot more to it than just signing the names and it was really interesting and should give promoters pause before demanding wrestler A B or C should be dropped immediately after they're signed.
