I went to a Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling show a few years ago where Haku was called King Haku--although he didn't have a crown. Here's a thought about a possible Arn Anderson card: Gourdbuster as a singles move becomes Double Gourdbuster Finisher or Add 1 in tag matches. DDT as a singles move becomes Double DDT Add 1 in tag matches. Singles Finisher becomes Spike Piledriver finisher in tag matches. Please legends team…none of those WWF king gimmicks from the late 80s/early 90s. I hated those I agree with that. But, although I do not have him appear in a crown and robe, in my LOW fed I do refer to Harley Race as The King of the Ring.

IN the 80s he primarily used the Gourdbuster (falling suplex) but eventually switched to the Spinebuster and occasionally DDT in the 90s.

Arn did win some squashes with the spinebuster but generally it was more of a signature/transition move than a finisher. It was like Sami's Blue Thunder Bomb.

I think the Legends Expansion XI set came out in Cycle 1 of 2022, didn't it? Legends Expansion 7 (Vintage) came out cycle 1 of 2021 and Legends Expansion 9 (Early TV Era) came out cycle 1 of 2022. Both were 8 card sets. Oops, I meant IX, not XI! Stupid Roman numerals!

For the DDT/Gourdbuster, I think I'd go with the Backlund/Gordy "sometimes uses..." note. He basically switched finishers in the late '80s with not a ton of overlap. I agree on the Spike Piledriver...he didn't really do a lot of double-Gourdbusters or double-DDTs, did he? Certainly not with Ole and Tully, and I don't recall him doing it as a finisher with Stubbs, Borne, Eaton or Zbyszko, either. I remember either Ole & Arn or Arn & Tully doing an elevated version of the gourdbuster once or twice, but certainly not enough to warrant it being a tag finisher. I have no recollection of Arn being involved with a double DDT. Definitely recall the spike piledriver. It appears we've done a bootleg version of Arn with a DDT/gourdbuster variable finisher, so we'd probably stick with that if he was signed.

Yeah, but that's old-school Survivor Series--the land of guys getting pinned after clotheslines.
I get it, but I think the spinebuster's fine as a 3 move or an Add 1. In FG gameplay that will be enough to net Arn some victories. Between the DDT, Gourdbuster, and Spike Piledriver, plus occasionally the Anderson Armbar, there are only so many slots to go around and so much print you can squeeze on the bottom of the card for footnotes.

Arn running in and hitting Taker with it at Wrestlemania was the best.

I just got done listening to Arn's podcast. Jerry Brisco was a guest and he announced Arn is going into the hall of fame. Arn seemed very honored to be included and very humble that people remember his career. I'd say the chances of Arn signing to be in the game are very good. Heck Jerry even mentioned Chad by name.
