also TDalton. He has a big collection! I actually sold most of mine to an IPW wrestler who was starting a comic resale business. I couldn't bear to throw them away, but no longer had a use for them. I didn't get rich, but they I knew they were going to support a great cause. I kept my full run of All-Star Squadron and Earth-2/JSA related stuff. Also, kept my Elseworlds titles, Justice League books, and run of Big Bang Comics.

I have two big boxes of comic books in my living room, most of them are from the 1980s. I should try to find out if they are worth anything.

I never knew that, but I knew there was a reason I liked him.

Yeah, I'm sitting on thousands of books that aren't worth a whole lot and don't mean that much to me (a LOT of early 90s Image, Valiant, all of that speculator boom period stuff) but I can't stand the idea of throwing them away. Need to find someone who just wants to read them or see what they were like and give them away. Punisher, Surfer, X-Men, Batman: those are my "keepers". Then that goofy Grant Morrison stuff like Invisibles and the "oh so serious" Vertigo stuff from those quirky UK writers. Alan Moore, you crazy old wizard! Never got into Neil Gaiman's work, though. No Sandman for me.
That Silver Surfer cover KB shared in the Uncharted thread: that is THE cover! That has been the wallpaper on my tablet for years and years (on my phone it's a Mike Zeck Punisher image from the limited series).
EDIT: Oh hey, speaking of Crisis. I have the first issue of that one signed by George Perez....in ballpoint pen on the bottom of the first page. I have NO way to display it, I got it on accident because the seller didn't realize, and it's the oddest part of my poorly curated collection.

I've still got a whole bunch of comics back when I did collect them and many DC showcases and a few others as well. I agree with Chad that the constant reboots have taken me out of modern comics because why get into them if they're going to change things 3 years later?

"Emperor Norton" (Mark T) I'd probably be interested in buying your early IMAGE comics. What titles do you have? ........ I don't even know! Spawn is a keeper for me. I have probably the first 40 issues of that. Otherwise, it's a lot of stuff from Wildstorm and Liefeld's studio: Brigade, Supreme, etc. There were so many that were one issue released and never completed. Or they did a few and dropped off. Dale Keown's Pitt....that's another one that's a keeper. Dale has just gotten better and better. Have you seen his more recent work on stuff like Gemshock? Super detailed. he's the master of monster hero vascularity.

Yeah, I don't care what titles you collected, even if Surfer wasn't one of them, EVERYONE knows that ICONIC cover by John Buscema. That George Perez signature is VERY interesting...

I'd be interested in Jim Lee's WILDCATS and I would really be interest in Portacio and Choi's WET WORKS. YOUNGBLOOD, STORM WATCH and SAVAGE DRAGON would peak my interest.
