Going to try something a little different...
Each "season", four competitors will enter the round robin Legends of Wrestling Champions League. Points will be awarded for a pinfall or submission victory (20 points), a count out victory (15 points), a disqualification victory (10 points) or a draw (5 points). The competitor who accumulates the highest number of points wins that season's Champions League and will receive a best 2 out of 3 series against the current, reigning champion in the next season.
The runner-up will be allowed to remain in the Champions League for the next season, while the two lowest scoring competitors will become ineligible for Champions League competition for 1 calendar year. The runner-up and three fresh competitors will then enter the next season of the Champions League and once again vie for the chance to challenge the Champion.
If the Champion loses his title, he will become ineligible for Champions League competition for 3 months. If the Challenger fails to dethrone the Champion, he will become ineligible for Champions League competition for 6 months.
In the intermission between seasons, Legends of Wrestling will bring you special concept events featuring your favorite competitors of the past, present and even the future. The booking committee will also be keeping a close eye on these events, scouting for competitors for upcoming Champions League seasons.
Two inaugural tiles will be awarded in Season 1 of the Legends of Wrestling Champions League: LOW Heavyweight Champion and LOW Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.
Qualifiers will be held with 16 competitors divided in to 4 groups of 4. After the qualifying round robins are held, the top 4 competitors from each group will move on to the first ever Champions League with that winner being crowned the first ever Champion. Competitors failing to make it past the qualifiers will become ineligible for Champions League competition for 1 calendar year.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the 16 singles contenders and the 16 tag teams who will be competing!
