For me Joanie Laurer, Kurt Angle were huge surprises. Randy Savage, Roddy Piper are others as well. I want to know if Cornette was an easy sell on this or if he was hesitant. Based on the project itself, I would think he'd be all for it, but I am curious if anyone can share the story of his signing. Also, if Jim has ever checked out the game himself. He has a copy of the black and white edition. Maybe need someone to send him the color stuff, or just the midnight express guys and him, obviously. |

I loved getting Piper , Andre and Macho but the Gorilla and Bobby studio card was my favorite surprise. Still love using the card !
When I first read the title of the post I thought is what card were you surprised was so fun to use. For me it is Hiro Matsuda. Had no true plans for him except fight some l-h/w but man he has added excitement in my fed.
He had a surprisingly great upper card feud with Missing Link, capping it with a win in a Singapore Cane match and is now involved with a rivalry with Mike Graham after interfering in a lumberjack match.
He also lost by DQ to my minor champ Dynamite Kid. May get a rematch down the line since nothing was settled in their first match.
