Man can't wait to hear why Monster Squad came up, I still quote that movie whenever I learn something that I thought was previously a different fact.

Another fine episode! So happy I got my hands on one of those Club Galactica Exclusive Cards. Baron Branch ruled my fed in those early days.

I have not finished listening yet...but so far it's a great episode EVEN with Chad Olson and Matt both being "in the room" at the same time...and so far Matt and Mark Ashby had been cordial, BUT there is plenty of show left that I have to listen to that that could change... ----- #1: My "Moon" title was my secondary title when I first started playing through 2091. As we all know, the Galaxian Championship was named in original set, but the secondary title was "Up To You Promoter", if you wanted to have one. Moon Championship had a cool sound to it and hey, the Earth's moon is "secondary" to the Earth so yeah, that's what I went with. When I joined Club Galactica in November 1990 and learned that there was a "mostly" official secondary title name, I finished the year that I was in and then in my New Year's Tournament for 2092 I renamed my secondary title to the more recognizable InterPlanetary Championship. #2. Yes, for a good portion of 2091, it was the year of the "Backside Beheading"!!!! Whiplash demolished everyone for a while with the Backside Beheading and as was so expertly read by Matt, he went from holding the Moon Championship claiming the Galaxian Championship in short order. I don't have my notes right in front of me, but I think that before the year ended, Spike was back on top of my federation with the Galaxian Title and Whiplash was back to the middle of the pack as a challenger. #3. My Rankings...YES, even today I still get lots of movement in them from ranking period to ranking period. Since about mid-2087, my ranking period has been 5 cards...so if you have been hot (or not) over the last 5 cards, it's going to show that in the rankings. I award +2 points for a win by pin, submission, or countout, +1 point for a DQ win, O points for a double DQ or double countout, -1 point for a DQ loss, and -2 points for a loss by pin, submission, or countout. I total the points over 5 cards and then rank highest to lowest based on point total. And ties are broken by ranking from the last period, the higher the ranking in the last period, the higher your position in the new period with anyone you have the same total points. I am pretty sure int he case of the rankings that were talked about in having The Creeper ranked higher than Star Warrior, it would have been that The Creeper got one more win in the previous 5 cards than Star Warrior, but I KNOW that Star Warrior would have rebounded back up the ranking in the next period because over the long run he was going to win more than The Creeper... And the same would have been true for The Gladiators to get back higher than The Norse Gods in the Tag Team Rankings. (Although I did have a lot of fun with The Norse Gods who it seems were better in my fed than they seemed to be in other Promoter's feds; just like the Space Croppers seemed to be for me!) #4 WarGames Titles (and later on CPC Titles). Yes, obviously, I used these titles although they were definitely not as prestigious as the Galaxian and Moon (later InterPlanetary) titles in my fed...they were fun to use. I am still a pretty "by the handbook storyline" even today, however I have not used "edition" championships since the CPC years. I think that covers all of the questions that were asked when my first contribution to the Club Galactica Super Report was discussed. ----- Yep, this was the first time I sent anything to Mark for inclusion in the Super Report. I had only been part of the Club for a month (honestly, I couldn't tell you why I waited so long to join...) and when I read Mark asking for Promoters to send in results and rankings, I jumped at the opportunity to do so and never looked back! I would say that I was pretty consistent in sending him material to include in the Club Galactic Super Report (and later The Promoter). ----- Now all that is left is to listen to the rest of Episode 165...before 166 is dropped!

Pete, I love that reasoning for the name behind the Moon title! When I started playing GWF, had I known about the Moon title, I probably would have copied your idea. I think that's an awesome name.
