With all the issues going on in FL our politicians are taking time away from solving those issues for a "really important" agenda. Passing a law that says if a resident feels their or their family's life are in danger from a bear they can shoot and kill it. Did we really need that? I mean if someone really was in danger and shot the bear would prosecutes try and press charges against the shooter? It seems a waste of time. Not only did they have to write up that part of the bill but also put in working that one could not but bait out to try and get bears to come to them and they could not just shoot a bear with cause. The funniest part for me was one politician talked about how for ages humans were on top of the food chain and this bill puts us back there once again. Um, maybe as a politician he fell down the food chain but the rest of us have not. If I was not so lazy, I would try and get a Stand Your Ground FOR Bears bill passed. I mean we build where THEY live and get upset when they are still around. I say if you build a house in an area that used to be woods with bears and a bear comes on to your property, he can defend himself since the homeowner is the one trespassing. one story on new law

That way politicians can say they passed laws while avoiding any real issues.
