Host Gordon Solie welcomes wrestling fans to the premiere episode of World Championship Wrestling from the WCW studio. Gordon announces that fans are about to be treated to the best of the NWA and it's affiliates. Tonight we'll see action featuring the stars of Jim Crockett Promotions, Championship Wrestling From Florida and World Class Championship Wrestling, as well as a MAJOR announcement from Lance Russell! And in our main event, Ivan & Nikita Koloff will meet Don & Rocky Kernodle for the vacant NWA World Tag Team championship! Let's get right to the action...

Mark Fleming defeated Rip Rogers with Boston Crab

Lance Russell announces that the Continental Wrestling Federation has been absorbed by the Continental Wrestling Alliance and now, stars such as Bob Armstrong and Austin Idol from the CWF will be seen right alongside the stars of the CWA!

Austin Idol defeated Randy Rose with Las Vegas Leglock

Solie then sends us to the Dallas Sportatorium for action from World Class Championship Wrestling...

Johnny Mantell upset One Man Gang with a Russian Leg Sweep

Back in the studio, we then travel to Florida, for Championship Wrestling From Florida action, hosted by Gordon himself...

During a pre-match interview with Solie, Boris Zhukov proclaims Russian superiority above all American wrestlers prior to his match against Terry Gordy...

Terry Gordy defeated Boris Zhukov with STF

Back in the studio, Solie informs us that NWA executives have deemed the teams of Ivan & Nikita Koloff and Don & Rocky Kernodle as the top contenders for the vacant NWA World Tag Team championship and it's now time for the main event of the evening...

Don & Rocky Kernodle defeated Ivan & Nikita Koloff by disqualification when Ivan got physical with the referee! However, the titles cannot change hands by disqualification and will therefore remain vacant!
As the NWA executive committee sorts this out, we'll see you here again next week wrestling fans!

Solie informs the viewers that tonight's main event will be a battle between Magnum TA & Wahoo McDaniel for the vacant NWA United States championship, before heading off to the Sunshine State for some Championship Wrestling from Florida action, including a match for their heavyweight championship...

Mike Graham defeats The Cuban Assassin with Figure Four Leglock

Dutch Mantell beat Bill Irwin with Double Dutch Clutch

Solie interviews newcomer Koko Ware, who promptly challenges the Missing Link to a match on an upcoming card...

Returning from commercial, it's back to Tampa to crown Florida's heavyweight champion...

Brian Blair defeated Rick Rude with Airplane Spin/Cobra Clutch to become champion in a surprising finish

It's now time for our main event of the evening, pitting two of our most popular stars against one another for the United States title...

Magnum TA defeated Wahoo McDaniel with a Belly To Belly Suplex to claim the title. Nothing but respect between these two at the conclusion of the match as Wahoo places the belt around Magnum's waist and raises his hand in victory as we're out of time, folks! We'll see you next week wrestling fans!

World Championship Wrestling with Gordon Solie

Episode 003

Gordon Solie opens the show with a huge announcement: After much debate, NWA officials have announced that Ivan & Nikita Koloff will once again face off against Don & Rocky Kernodle for the world tag team championship on this very show in 2 weeks! And to ensure that new champions will be crowned, the match will be contested under no disqualification rules! In addition, Ivan Koloff was fined an undisclosed amount for getting physical with an NWA referee and has been warned any further instances WILL result in a suspension!

Let's get to this week's action, which opens with a challenge from last week being answered...

Koko Ware defeats The Missing Link with a jumping elbow drop and is subsequently attacked by the Link during the post-match interview and appears to be injured...

Thunderbolt Patterson defeated Doug Somers with HEAD BUTT

Solie sends us to Lance Russell in Memphis for some old fashioned Continental action...

Adrian Street defeated Bob Armstrong with an elbow drop in a rather bloody encounter

Returning from commercial, Solie promises another HUGE announcement prior to tonight's main event!

Bob Roop defeats Tully Blanchard in an absolute war, despite constant interference from JJ Dillon

Before we get to our main event, Solie drops a bombshell: NWA executives have deemed Harley Race & Tommy Rich as the top two contenders for THE world championship and that match will take place next week!

Our main event takes us once again to the Sportatorium in Dallas for a tag team championship match!

The Fantastics upset The Midnight Express to become NWA American tag team champions when Bobby Fulton pinned Dennis Condrey following a FANTASTIC FLIP, overcoming Jim Cornette's interference

Welcome wrestling fans to an historic night of NWA wrestling action! Tonight, on this very program, a new NWA champion will be crowned as the legendary Harley Race battles "Wildfire" Tommy Rich for the most prestigious "ten pounds of gold" in our sport!
