Im not trying to criticize any that help out with Filsinger Games, but I love to think outside the box. Personally, I think this card was really dumb to release in a set/prime/whatever because  the idea of an invisible wrestler is really stupid, but like I said in an earlier post: think of what we can do to help the CAC or TNTHOF. They've been a LIFEBLOOD to this game and whenever you can give back, do it (and they honor both legends AND indy wrestlers). 

There was no release form associated with this Invisible Man...would have been a perfect LE for $5 with proceeds going to either/both organizations. I probably wouldve bought one if I knew it was going to support them. If 50 people bought it, that could be $100 we could've donated to the organization and long time signed wrestler couldve gotten that spot. 

Take my idea for the wrestling bear. Same thing. Probably dumb to put in any set, but if folks see its a card that can benefit the organization, they'd be more than likely to buy it. 

Total longshot, but take Sting. We raise more money to help the CAC with these cards, guys like Ron Hutchinson and Brian Blair could show him and say "could we use you for a LE card (like the previous Blair card) and it could help out the CAC and, in turn, help wrestlers that could be down on their luck, that haven't had the fortune that Sting has gotten". 


Long shot? Absolutely, but who knows. You have to try. I just like to think outside the box and look forward to things.

I think this is the hottest the Indies Prime thread has been in a while!

Most people know I am a fan of comedy wrestling, and I am less traditional in my favorite styles of matches. And I like that we have been able to represent so many different styles in the Indie games including comedy.

When Zeke asked if we could include the Invisible Man card in Prime, I was hesitant at first because I thought there would be some backlash. But it is a card I thought could be fun for lots of game fans. I thought comfortable as long as the other 2 cards were some bigger name wrestlers that people could use in a few ways, which I believe JTG and Simon Gotch were. I hope most of the Indies Prime subscribers are happy with atleast 2 of the 3 names.

I expect the Indies and COTG Prime lines to continue to have have mostly wrestler cards, but with some concept cards included as well to enhance the game. Whether you think any specific card enhances your game is up to you promoter.

As a big fan of Invisible man matches, I think Zeke nailed the stats. I could totally see all the moves used in "logical" ways in this kind of wrestling interaction. If the objection is the art with the shirt, I could understand, as we dont see the character wrestle or come to the ring like that. This was the reference shot I would have wanted to go with:

I wasn't going to pick up any Prime this year but I may actually pick this up as I kind of like the storyline in my head as having the invisible man come into early classics as Wraiths grandfather now. Maybe the first omicron.

I would have rather had an actual wrestler like maybe Wardlow could have been in this set and the Invisible Man should have been the Con Exclusive. While Hammerstone would have made sense. It is what it is. Given my current feds I am running this card will sadly not be used so it is pretty much an waste of a card for me at this time. Not sure I would use this card at all to be honest, while I do enjoy comedy bits in wrestling the Invisible man gimmick was never my favourite. But some will enjoy this character so good on them. I feel kinda swerved thinking we were possibly getting another big name but some of that is on me for putting expectation (which has always turned out great in regards to Legends or Indies releases) on the name. But I look at it from this perspective that atleast we got JTG and Gotch. So those are big wins especially for those of us who enjoy WWE,MLW and TNA. Team Filthy just got a new member in my ROH Canada fed and JTG will come in as a singles wrestler and see where the dice take him.

If we ever get an R-Truth card then I will use the Invisible man as his arch nemesis and later on his tag team partner.

In some ways I guess the other way to look at this is we got a John Cena card.

I'm not sure we can do the Wardlow discussion again, please. It's been pretty well explained why a card for someone like him has to be con exclusive or not at all

I'm fine with it as a PP card. I challenge each Indy promoter to use it once in your Indy fed. We've been blessed with a lot of great legends cards, and even in indies, some great heavy hitting Indy cards. This just gives promoters a chance at some comedy, if they want it, in the feds they run.

Truly a well-deserved tribute to the most decorated performer in all of professional wrestling history, VACANT.

I agree with TM's sentiment (and his choice in alternate art) wholeheartedly. The 2/3 hit rate with Gotch and JTG averages out to a solid ROI on what is essentially a mystery box subscription. Maybe not necessarily for me, but its a cute idea showcasing a small slice of a larger scene.
