I will never understand the need to shit on wrestling that isn't your thing. Just move along and watch something you enjoy instead, there's enough of it out there I agree with you in principle. There’s plenty of wrestling promotions out there. If you don’t like GCW, try MLW. If you don’t like MLW, try Freelance. Et cetera, et cetera, ad Infinitum. Problem is, people paid money expecting three WRESTLING cards. For WRESTLERS. The Invisible Man isn’t a wrestling card, representing a wrestler. Because it’s not a wrestler. It doesn’t exist. Invisible Man vs. Invisible Stan wasn’t a “match,” and it wasn’t “wrestling.” It was very good performance art by a skilled referee. When they announced that a runner-up in the polls from last year would be released, I—and I’ll bet a lot of other people—assumed it would be Hammerstone. You know, because he’s been all over the indies lately, and he held the MLW title for a long time, and many people felt he needed an update, and he was just in the news for signing a TNA contract, and…oh yeah…because he actually exists. Then we get an Invisible Man. Wearing clothes, and we are told that’s not his ring gear. Of course it’s not. Because he doesn’t exist. There’s NO ONE in the ring doing those “moves.” I get the joke though. People were expecting Hammerstone, and we got this. SWERVE! Ha ha, good joke. Almost April Fool’s Day and all that. Now can we have the REAL third wrestler card, please? Even though it would go against their belief, I wouldn’t be opposed to the card being a SE card with proceeds going to the cac or tnthof. You know what you’re buying and the organizations get the proceeds Yes midget wrestling and wrestling bears are in theory “silly”, and I’ve even said they would be an unique prime set, you could release the wrestling bear card as a SE with proceeds going to the cac/tnthof. Think outside the box and help our partners. I’m sure people would get one board with that

The invisible man was the runner up. You paid money for three cards. You got three cards. The fact you won't use one is a shame, but plenty will. Should we not be allowed a card we will use because you have decided it doesn't fit your acceptable world of wrestling? Were you this angry when Salina de la Renta was in PP, or maybe Karlee Perez, how about Larry Legend or Ian Riccaboni? Because none of them are wrestlers. Wrestling encompasses many different facets. We can now roll out another of those in our feds, if we so wish

I respect executioner and others here but we can all count and the 3 or 4 voices here who are complaining (for reasons I really don't understand) about an Invisible Man card (and some minor backlash was expected) does NOT outweigh the 30 voters here who voted for The Invisible Man on last year's Cycle 4 poll.

Of the 103 votes in that poll 73 people did not vote for the Invisible Man. Yes he got some support but a large majority did not pick him. Always other ways to look at the numbers.

But then there will be people amongst that proportion who are also fine with having this card. I voted Kikutaro, I'm happy to have an Invisible Man card. If we really get down to it, we can all tangle ourselves up in numbers.

I feel like I’m going crazy having this conversation.
I will just say that it is inexcusable to put an imaginary character out when there is a universe of actual, real talent (not just wrestlers) who have been waiting years to get their cards released.
However, since I am one of only three or four people engaged in the expected backlash, I will shut up now. Sorry—I forgot the rules of the forum.

Personally I think it will be a fun card to have. Sure he's not going to be a regular in any feds but as a fun 1 off match here and there why not. it's the indy PP. Not PP but The indies that have gave us a dinosaur, ants and demons to name but a few of the crazy characters that don't fit the traditional pro wrestling roles but still make for fun cards and matches.

None of you who have expressed a dislike of this card have been silenced. To paraphrase Executioner, you've all represented your views, others have represented theirs.

Sorry—I forgot the rules of the forum. well again 30 people voted for him on a poll on this board which they could only vote once, I count about 5 here complaining (and again I really don't understand why) I really believe we are doing the right thing here by releasing a card that had popular support on a poll. I pushed for Invisible Man being on a poll and I was told before it was posted that if the Invisible Man did not get many votes than it was not likely to happen. But 30 people on a 1-vote poll voted for him.
