SAGA Presents:
Explosion
7-13
Bill Apter opened the show, reminding fans that the winners of most matches would be exempt from the Manager's Lottery.
1. Mini Battle Royal (Winner is exempt from Lottery. All losers are eligible, even if they don't have a manager.)
Danny Hodge knocked down both Richard Hutton and Angelo Mosca and started working over Mosca. Hutton jumped him from behind and tossed him out. Missing Link, meanwhile, was attacking everyone and anyone nearby. Hutton and Mosca double-teamed Pepper Gomez, but he fought back, dropping them both with drop kicks out of the corner. Tiger Mask took advantage of this and launched Hutton out with a Tiger Suplex. Jushin Liger then hit a Brainbuster on Mosca that sent him to the floor. Missing Link assaulted Gomez in the corner but couldn't get him out. Tiger and Liger temporarily put their differences aside and double-teamed Missing Link. The assault backfired though, and Link sent Liger airborne with a headbutt. He then dropped Tiger to the mat with a headbutt, but Gomez finally got up and hit a flying body attack that sent Missing Link to the floor. This left Gomez and Tiger. The two exchanged moves, back and forth, for several minutes, until Gomez reversed a suplex and drop kicked Tiger to the floor.
Winner: Pepper Gomez (Exempt from Lottery).
2. Six Man Tag Team Match:
The Beautiful People + The Sandman w/ Larry "All Too" Sharpe
vs. The Destroyer + Code Red w/ Wild Red Berry.
Sandman and Bastein started off, and Sandman beat Bastein to a pulp, nearly pinning him several times. The Mountie tagged in and used his Shockstick on Sandman, but Sandman kicked out. He tried again, but Gorgeous George made the save. The Destroyer tagged in and grappled Sandman to the mat, but Sandman fought back and floored him with a Hardcore DDT. Bastein made the save though.
George finally tagged in, and he and Destroyer exchanged moves and counters (That's right, Gorgeous George in a scientific exchange!). The Mountie ruined it though by interfering, and a brawl ensued. The referee finally restored order and Buddy Rose tagged in. Rose fought Bastein and punched him in the corner, but Bastein made a secret tag to The Destroyer. Destroyer scored several near-falls over Rose, and George finally tagged back in. George and Destroyer again exchanged several moves, and George hit an airplane, which the referee warned was illegal under Shon Maxx's rules. He hit the move again though and got disqualified.
Winners: The Destroyer + Code Red (DQ) (All 3 are exempt from the Lottery).

Regional Champion Dan Severn w/ Sherri Martel
vs. Bruiser Brody w/ Capt. Lou Albano.
The two had a face-off in the center of the ring. Then, right off the bat, Brody grabbed Severn and tossed him across the ring. Severn leaped to his feet and lunged forward, only to be tossed across the ring again. Severn started to lunge forward again, but he faked and tried a sneak attack. It failed as Brody turned and dropped him with a big boot, then a leg drop. He tried for a cover, but Severn kicked out. Brody hit a piledriver and spinning suplex. He tossed Severn to the floor and tried a flying attack off the apron, but Severn moved out of the way, and Brody hit the barrier. Severn rolled Brody back into the ring and hit a ground assault. He then hit a German suplex and locked the Beast Choker, but Brody escaped, seemingly pretty easily. Severn hit the shooter suplex and locked an ankle vice, but Brody escaped again. Brody rolled to the floor, and Severn followed, smashing him into the barrier and whipping his head into the post.
Sherri began cheering, and Severn looked to her for a moment before rolling back into the ring. He then walked up to the referee and punched him in the face. The referee got up and immediately disqualified him.
Winner and Still Regional Champion: Bruiser Brody (DQ) (Exempt from Lottery) (Both keep their titles.)
Aftermath: Sherri was stunned and pleased with Severn as to what he was doing, but he simply ignored her, grabbed his belt, and left.

Crusher: "I said I don't need no-"
George Hackenschmidt: "Help, I know. But you've been there for me and Frank. It's time to return the favor. Plus, I've been away for too long, and I want a chance to get back in."
