In just over an hour's time, day three of German promotion wXw's 16 Carat Gold tournament kicks off. The final four includes Indies card holder 1 Called Manders, while other people who have cards who will be on the show includes Lio Rush, Michael Oku and possibly Gringo Loco, who has been on the other shows through the weekend. For anyone unaware, wXw have been running for years, and almost all the best European talent and international indies names have competed there over the years. Chris Hero, ZSJ, Bryan Danielson were all regulars for a long time, while WWE's Gunther (Walter), Ilja Dragunov and Ludwig Kaiser all called it home in the formative years of their careers. The other three semi-finalists for the tournament are the masked Aigle Blanc, who is based out of France, and has had superb matches with Gringo Loco and the Belgian 'War Machine' Mike D Vecchio to get to this point. Top left on the image is Laurance Roman, who has perhaps been the one who has stood out the least, although his quarter final win did come against Masato Tanaka. And bottom right is Peter Tihanyi, a Hungarian wrestler who is quite athletic. He beat GHC World Champion El Hijo Del Dr Wagner Jr in the first round and had a superb quarter final match with Michael Oku last night, and I reckon is a good shout to win this year's tournament. Also announced for the show so far is Lio Rush vs Michael Oku

yeah, I remember going to Berlin in December 2022 to see my sister who lives in Germany and being disappointed to find out that wXw was not running while I was there as I would have gone for sure

Speaking of wXw, without saying who they are, I have actually signed a couple of current/recent wXw talents for the game.

I know of one of the roster from the weekend just gone performed for GCW in Vegas a couple of years ago. If they are signed, then I would love to get a card for them!!

Another person people may recognise who had a good weekend at wXw was Axel Tischer - formerly known as Alexander Wolfe in WWE, where he was part of Sanity and Imperium - who became only the second person to win the Ambition tournament for a second time. The tournament is a worked shoot, and has been won previously by Bryan Danielson, Zack Sabre Jr, Walter, Matt Riddle and the latest announced name Daniel Makabe!
