Considering that you WORK in a hotel that must be very frustrating.😡 You got that right. Other things too. So, the flight finally took off and had a yelping dog behind me. Didn't really bother me but did get a bit upset when the stewardess asked them to leave the carrier under the seat in front of them or in their lap but not on empty seat and they argued with her. She eventually threatened to have police waiting for them at landing and that got their attention. Then we land and had to wait for a gate. Got to use the ramp to exit which I like even with the liquid sunshine lol. That's ruff. It can make someone go paw-sitively barking mad.😁 These dog puns are pretty paw-ful so I'll stop now. Fur real.

Attended my 35th Galacticon and had a good time. At this point it more about seeing friends then it is about playing the game. Drove down Friday with Chris Sinclair who attended his 3rd G-con, I was given a voucher to eat at Illio's by Grant as he couldn't make it so he passed his voucher to me. I thanked him for that. Meal was decent and portions were good. Then we drove to Jamestown and got to LaQuinta, I had stayed there before when it was a Day Inn and it has dropped in quality. Our room had no A/C but they provided a fan. We were both in bed by 11 as Chris worked nights and was up close to 30 hours and I was tired. Saturday was all about talking and hanging out with my G-con family, I spent a lot of time with Smoke and he left early and I wish him all the best. It was at this point I thought I should win a tournament and I won the women's tourny. I was asked how I've won between 40-50 tournaments and I broke down the math for the newest Kevin and he was shocked at the thought behind dice rolling. Then after hitting up a few bars that night a few us us stayed in the lobby until we emptied the cooler of G-con beer. It was at this time the Inner Beer Circle came up with a 5 year G-con plan for the cities that the cons should be in,at about 3:00 we ran into Milton and Barry who were leaving to catch a flight and about 3:30 we called it. Sunday was the Canada Cup, I picked the Kronos bracket so I could try the Fortune card, we had a 4 way tie but we were able to break it down to Matt winning. The finals were Lou Thez vs Gerry Brisco in a torture chamber and Brisco won. Josh won his 3rd Canada Cup. In total I went 8-2 in 2 tournaments.
See you all next year.

I arrived with my friend, Kevin Ford, late on Friday night in Jamestown. We kind of just took it easy and went to dinner before crashing. On Saturday morning I ran into some promoters in the lobby of the hotel like Troy & Mike Fortune as we ate breakfast before heading over to the con.
The con was great. The College had plenty of space for everyone. I was blown away by the great fan-created content that I received upon entering. Barry, Broc, Grant, KB, Rob, and TK did a great job with the material they presented to everyone. I’m extremely grateful for the time & effort put in on the materials. I felt so welcomed by it upon first entering the con. To the point that Kevin looked at me and said “I almost feel bad we don’t have something created.”
I got smoked in tournaments. We got there a bit late but I got Karl Fredericks in the TNA/NXT tournament and Mr. Wonderful in the Legends tournament. I lost to both eventual champs in the first round. Kevin Wible with PCO and Jim Steinhoff with Antonio Inoki. The funny thing was Jim rolled snake eyes early with Inoki but Inoki’s Pin rating of (1) saved him in his journey to the win.
We hit up a couple of bars later with everyone. I was super glad when we changed bars because the first bar was so loud that I could barely hear a thing without yelling. After that, we hung out in the hotel lobby where the staff was super cool. I had a great time with everyone until about 3am. Huge thank you to J for the beer on Saturday! Kevin & I headed out early the next morning, feeling like it was the old college days from all the G-Con beers and had a helluva journey ahead of us in our current states.
I had a great time in Jamestown for the con. The stars kind of lined up for me being able to attend but I am so glad I did. Being able to talk to Tom & Chuck was really enjoyable. The wild thing is a lot of the conversations I had with people like Grant, Zeke, Rob, Mike Fortune, the Meleskys, Todd, Pete, Sinclairverse, Ty, LAWraith were about topics other than wrestling or the game. It was things like auditions, football, baseball, kids, Letterkenny, Winchester, and the Canadian border.
I have played the game for over 30 years and been on the boards for probably over 20 years. If you haven’t been to a G-Con in person, you owe it to yourself to make it. One of the things Kevin commented on during the car ride home was just how nice everyone was that he encountered. I joked with my wife because as a wrestling fan, we are used to people’s reactions to finding out we love wrestling. Some wrestling fans can even react to finding out you play a tabletop game for it. Weekends like this past one give you a chance to interact with a lot of people that have embraced the same craziness that you love. Even as brief as the moments were this weekend, I’ll take them with me for a very long time.

I also thought the conversations were the best part. I think the tournaments actually took away a little from my fun even though I had some awesome matches and stories I will remember (im sure Butcher wants a rematch next year and so does Melesky).
But it would have been cool to have more round table talks or discussions just for promoters maybe (maybe a tournament losers lounge lol)? Like what did you think of the set, what are you going to do in your fed and maybe more on what Tom has planned?
I also could see being talked into running a D&D Champions of the Galaxy game next year maybe as well ...

Oh I'd totally play in that.
Yeah, we keep talking about having some time just for chat but I think we'd have to shrink the tournaments to do that.
