Wish you and all the others could have made it too. We would have needed a bigger banquet room lol. The crew didn't make it back to Jamestown till 10pm. Not sure what they did but I dropped Troy off at his hotel, he was headed to bed after long trip today, and then I went to mine to chill and read the book. I think people are going to love this set. A new direction for sure. Some guesses were correct and if not on the spot they were close. But overall it's different then expected. I love it and look forward to using these cards in my own way but inspired by the cannon story. After hearing Tom speak about it yesterday and the theme behind the set.I like the concept and love the big bad who is behind it all.I look forward to playing this game year. |

The story line for this set also explains, somewhat, the sudden and unexplained disappearence of some wrestlers. I could see some coming back partially tying into this set's theme OR the story being the person behind the disappearences being scared of them this making them go poof.

I agree as I can definitely see a Secret Wars and other Marvel story influences for this set. The disappearances remind me of the HB0 show The Leftovers, I don't know if Tom has seen that.I meant to ask Tom if The Beyonder was one of his favorite Marvel God like characters.The big bad definitely reminds me of him. |

Good call on that Beyonder reference. I hadn't really thought about the big bad like that, but it definitely does have a lot of that influence.

I agree.I also think this storyline and theme addresses the complaints of some people about the same old teams and managers,wrestlers,etc...Perhaps this is the beginning of a regular occurance of other worlds,etc that are visited on occasion to break up the regular formula of things. |
