I have been busy working on the June release since December. This weekend I completed a first draft of the card stats for 12 cards. Also I have completed a first draft of the handbook. Things will still change, including names of characters, but the main ideas are in place.
Darryl is wrapping up the card art and I will be working with Tom R on backgrounds and colors this week. Darryl's art is fantastic, but do I really have to say that? We all know he is awesome! We had more fun than usual with the current set, but I will say more about that in June at GalactiCon after it has been released.
There won't be many teasers if any. That's because this is one of those sets where the main concept would be spoiled no matter what is shared. In place of specific card art I will write some news stories that speak about the new set but without details that would spoil too much. Prepare for unexpected surprises! The GWF is moving in new directions yet again. This game universe is so rich in possibilities. It must be, just look at all the spin-off sets over the years!
Also pondering a few bonus items and how they might work. No final decisions yet.
We are also hard at work on our Indie and Legends releases, but I thought I would share an update on our flagship game since day one: Champions of the Galaxy! This is expansion number 53 or 54, who can keep track anymore? I just keep writing them, it's a lifetime habit at this point. And I love every second of it!
