I have a special match in mind that I want to use as a "blow-off" to a feud between (SPOILER ALERT) War Hog and Devon Bridges in Miami Valley Pro Wrestling at the third ANNIVERSARY MELTDOWN premium live event. I'm calling it a VIKING FUNERAL MATCH. So far, I've come up with the preliminary description of how I want the match to look.
"This match is a variation of the coffin match, with a hint of the Inferno match thrown into the mix. A Viking funeral skiff is placed in the parking lot of the venue surrounded from a safe distance by guardrails leading to the back entrance of the building. In the center of the skiff is a coffin. This is a singles match only. The match begins inside the venue in the ring and ends when one wrestler successfully drags or battles his opponent outside the venue, places him in the coffin on the skiff, and closes the lid. The skiff will then be set on fire to signify the winner."
Anybody got any suggestions for this match?

Sounds good as is but if you are looking to up the ante here are a couple ideas off the top of my head.
- Semi lumberjack match only with Vikings around the ring that the wrestlers have to fight their way thru.
- Semi weapons match with shields, horned helmets and clubs/maces set out ring side
Either way the idea you have is pretty cool on its own.

The "Vandalia fire marshal" denied MVPW a fire permit for setting the ship on fire outside the building, so the match was changed to a normal coffin match. It was hoped that the coffin could be set on fire inside the building (stealing the idea from the WWE Royal Rumble 1989 when Kane locked the Undertaker in the coffin and then set it on fire on the ramp), but given the size of the building, the fire marshal once again denied a fire permit for the stunt.
