2074-75 question

Ok so my kid tossed me a curve ball I didn't think about. We have played shows for both 2074 and 75 (we have done about 17 shows so far). I then get asked do we just play with these cards until 2087 or do we just fast forward to 2087. While I have some theories and ideas. I figured I would put this question out to you guys. If you only had the 2074-75 color set and nothing in between that and 2087. What would you do? play with the same cards and make up the 10 more play years or just jump into the next set? I can say this has been an awesome set cause we have only had 5 champions in the 17 shows.

There are plans for a new 'Classics' set later this year which would give you the next year or so, so I'd just play out some more cards and wait for the new set.

I was wondering if there were going to be some new sets this year that would fill in the time. Figured they would be announced in May or at the con in June. Thanks for the info.
