Now, I know this is more geared to companies outside of wrestling where the clauses were more long term to protect trade secrets. However, I wonder how it would effect wrestling. This goes for all promotions but I put it in the WWE thread as the top company and one known for putting the clauses in contracts. It would see to me that going forward once a contract is up with a promotion a wrestler/talent could go to work with another promotion right away. Granted, this rule might be challenged in court but it is an interesting thing to keep an eye on. related story

I would love to see one of the recently released talents show up in AEW in the next couple of weeks before their Non-Compete Clause expires and then have WWE take them to court for violating it.
That would force the courts to make a full decision on the issue.
