FTC Issues Final Rule Banning Non-Compete Agreement

Now, I know this is more geared to companies outside of wrestling where the clauses were more long term to protect trade secrets. However, I wonder how it would effect wrestling. This goes for all promotions but I put it in the WWE thread as the top company and one known for putting the clauses in contracts. It would see to me that going forward once a contract is up with a promotion a wrestler/talent could go to work with another promotion right away. Granted, this rule might be challenged in court but it is an interesting thing to keep an eye on.

I would love to see one of the recently released talents show up in AEW in the next couple of weeks before their Non-Compete Clause expires and then have WWE take them to court for violating it.

That would force the courts to make a full decision on the issue.
