Hello everyone! I'm thrilled to join the Champions of the Galaxy community and start my journey into the exciting world of the GWF. Although I'm relatively new to the CotG universe, I've been thoroughly enjoying all the fantastic content, both from the official game sets and the incredible user-created federations and storylines. As I immerse myself in this dynamic universe, I'm excited to announce that I'll be launching my own GWF Federation set in the year 2124 (the second year of the Martial Law era). Alongside this, I'll be running a parallel federation, the EGO Federation, which will coexist and sometimes intersect with the GWF storyline. I've already begun posting content, including information on my own wrestler creations, in this thread here, where you can meet the mysterious Mr. Green and several of the wrestlers (complete with art, but no stats... yet) too. Despite being a newcomer, I've developed a deep appreciation for the intricate storylines and rich character development that make Champions of the Galaxy such an engaging experience. With my federations, I aim to contribute to this tradition by creating compelling narratives and memorable matches. I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you and hearing your thoughts, feedback, and ideas. Whether you're a veteran player or new to the CotG universe like me, I hope my federations will provide an engaging and entertaining experience for everyone. Stay tuned for the first updates and match results from both the GWF and EGO Federations. Let the action begin! Best regards, Joe (legendsport)

Nice opening card. Some good action there. The overall card rating seems a tad low based on the individual matches but other than that things are looking fine. Keep it up.

Thanks! You're right about the card rating - should be 1.625 so I will edit it. That was my thought going off an average of the matches. Of course, the main event could be weighed a bit more than the others. Either way it is a fun thing to play around with.

In the Ring with Sly Drury:
[The camera pans to the center of the ring where Sly Drury stands, microphone in hand, wearing his trademark smug grin. The crowd boos loudly as he raises the mic to his lips.]
Sly Drury: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, aliens and androids, gather 'round, for you're about to witness greatness in the flesh. It's me, your illustrious commissioner, Sly Drury, the man who pulls the strings and runs this fed!
[The crowd's boos grow louder, but Drury simply smirks and continues.]
Sly Drury: Now, I know what you're all thinking. "Oh, Sly, how do you manage to be so charming and so in charge all at once?" Well, it's a gift, my friends. A gift that my less fortunate adversaries seem to sorely lack.
[He pauses, soaking in the jeers from the audience before pressing on.]
Sly Drury: Speaking of adversaries, let's address the elephant in the room, shall we? Those so-called "heroes" who dare to challenge my authority at every turn. Tristan, Endgame, American Guy... and the rest of your ragtag band of wannabes. And the guy in the bear suit? Are you kidding me? You may think you're the heroes of this story, but let me remind you who writes the script. Spoiler alert: it's me.
[He chuckles smugly, reveling in his own cleverness.]
Sly Drury: And as for those pesky villains who think they can outsmart me? Thraxx, Dark Futures, The Gladiators, you name it. Well, let me give you a reality check, folks. You may think you're playing the game, but I'm the one holding all the cards. So, watch your step, because in my ring, there's only one rule: my way or the highway.
[He drops the mic with a flourish, basking in the chorus of boos as he exits the ring, leaving behind a trail of smugness and disdain.]
[As Drury disappears up the aisle, a spotlight hits someone running down the opposite aisle... it's Betrayer! And he climbs into the ring, picking up the mic...]
Betrayer: Hey, commish! You're really good at talking trash, but are you still any good in the ring?
[Drury reappears amongst the crowd, his security team by his side. Someone hands him another mic.]
Sly Drury: You trying to get yourself hurt?
Betrayer: Ha! As if you could hurt me. I challenge you, right here, right now. I want to Fight the Power!
Sly Drury: Challenge denied! You don't deserve it! You want me? Beat my protege first...
[Drury steps aside and Retribution steps into the spotlight. He smiles and waves at the Betrayer, who is gritting his teeth.]
Betrayer: Fine! Anytime, anywhere. And after I dispose of your lackey, I'm coming for you Drury!
[The crowd is largely silent during the exchange: while they don't like Drury, they aren't all that certain of the Betrayer either. The assorted parties leave the arena and the third match begins.]

INT. DARK CARNIVAL TENT - NIGHT The tent is dimly lit, filled with eerie shadows and strange objects. TRICKS, the unhinged leader of the Dark Carnival, sits at a rickety table. In his hand, he holds a squirming alien insect, its wings fluttering wildly. Tricks methodically pulls off a wing, his eyes gleaming with twisted satisfaction. TRICKS
(whispering to himself) One... two... three... ORACLE enters the tent. He pauses, watching Tricks with a mixture of curiosity and discomfort. ORACLE
I've learned something strange, Tricks. Tricks doesn't look up. He pulls off another wing, examining it closely. TRICKS
(ignoring Oracle) Do you know what this is, Oracle? It's called a Millealis. Means "thousand wings." But I don't think it has a thousand. So, I'm counting them... by pulling them off. Oracle shifts uncomfortably, disturbed by Tricks' nonchalant cruelty. ORACLE
(trying to focus) That's... interesting. But Tricks, I have important news. TRICKS
(still focused on the insect) Did you know, some say that if you pull off all its wings, it can still live for a whole day? Fascinating creatures. Oracle takes a deep breath, trying to steer the conversation back to his news. ORACLE
Tricks, Vin Strutter has been spotted scouting wrestlers in the Outer Rim. I heard this from an old friend... This gets Tricks' attention. He abruptly stops, the insect forgotten. His eyes darken with rage. TRICKS
(snapping) I don't want to hear anything about Strutter! Tricks overturns the table, sending the insect and various objects flying. He stands, towering over Oracle. TRICKS (CONT'D) But since you've brought him up... let it be known that if anyone sees Strutter again, they'll earn my... gratitude... by taking care of him... Permanently. Oracle nods, visibly unsettled by Tricks' outburst. ORACLE
Understood, Tricks. Oracle turns and leaves the tent, casting one last wary glance at Tricks. As he exits, Tricks picks up the insect from the ground, a twisted smile returning to his face. TRICKS
(sitting back down) Now, where was I? He resumes his gruesome task, pulling off another wing.
NOTE: Vin Strutter is back, after a fashion, has he joins a new wrestling federation as part of a story linked with this one: E.G.O. - Emerald Grappling Organization

Encubus then leaped from the top rope onto Payback, securing the win and getting the crowd fired up.
In-Ring Segment: The Betrayer's Attack on Sly Drury
As Sly Drury sat ringside with Phantasy and his Security Squad, The Betrayer suddenly beamed into the ring, demanding a Fight the Power match. Drury refused, leading The Betrayer to leap from the turnbuckle and attack Drury. The Security Squad quickly intervened, delivering a brutal beating to The Betrayer. As he was wheeled away on a gurney, Drury mockingly announced The Betrayer's suspension for two months, dripping with sarcasm and snark.

Match 3: Tricks vs. Swarm (No DQ Cosmic Cage Match)
Swarm defeated Tricks with a WASP TRAP at 4:35
Match Rating: 3.00
Recap: The unhinged Tricks and Swarm clashed in a Cosmic Cage Match. Tricks used underhanded tactics to hurt Swarm early on. Aethran Overmaster defeated Endgame with a REIGN OF THE OVERMASTER at 8:44

Match 5: Plethador vs. Oracle
Oracle defeated Plethador with a SIXTH SENSE at 6:41
Match Rating: 2.50
Recap: Plethador, full of bravado, predicted an easy victory, tossing inflatable Plethador-branded crystal balls to the crowd. Oracle, enraged by Tricks' earlier defeat (and his failed prophecy of victory), attacked Plethador outside the ring. A brawl ensued with Rotunda and Gryt joining Oracle and Mantis and (surprise!) Sultana aiding Plethador. Sly Drury's security restored order, and the match resumed with Oracle eventually winning. Oracle added insult to injury by slapping Plethador with one of Plethador's toy crystal balls thrown to him by Rotunda.

The two women gave everything they had, battling for 25 minutes in a match that left both bloodied and exhausted. She Devil's top rope huracanrana secured her victory, much to the delight of the crowd. Despite the fierce competition, both women showed respect after the match.
Main Event: Monolith vs. Wolf (Galaxian Championship)
Monolith defeated Wolf with THE END OF ALL THINGS at 8:10
Match Rating: 3.50
Recap: Against Sly Drury's advice, Monolith agreed to put his belt on the line for the first round of the Fatal Showdown with Wolf and the matchup predictably headlined the event. Although the match was intense, it lacked the electric atmosphere of the preceding Women's Championship match. Monolith ultimately triumphed, pinning Wolf after hitting The End of All Things. After the match, Wolf reminded everyone that this was just the first of fifteen matches, vowing to be the ultimate winner. Monolith scoffed and walked away, setting the stage for their ongoing rivalry.
Overall Card Rating: 3.14
