Does anyone know if Shogun is the guy that won the last TNA Gut Check a few years ago?

no, it was not him, but I have heard that Chris Bey is trying to get Shogun some opportunities in TNA Opportunities for this Shogun or the Shogun who won the Gut Check? this Shogun, I believe the Shogun you are thinking of is "The Suplex Shogun" Jackson Stone who was in TNA's Gut Check challenge a few years ago.

That sounds about right. It is was hard finding anything about him. Turns out it was way back in 2020 when Mr. Stone won it. I thought he was the last but a few more have won one since but of course non are on the current roster. A shame. I would like to see them bring it back, even if not televised or just on their TNA+ and/or Youtube and then see the winner have at least a couple matches on Impact.

I went to this show tonight.
A good show, in the main event Danny Limelight defeated Kenny King to earn a title shot against Shogun at next month's Anniversary show.
Also, on tonight's show, both Eli Everfly (who wore a fly mask I had not seen before during his ring entrance) and Dante King earned spots in the Cash in the Case ladder match (basically Money in the Bank) at the Anniversary show, Sky High retained the FSW Tag Team Championship against Lights, Camera, Faction, and Brittney Brooks defetaed Mazzerati to set herself up for a title shot against FSW Womens Champion Rachelle Riveter (I expect Brittnie Brooks to win the FSW Womens Championship at next month's Anniversary's show.)
When I walked into tonight's show, I gave the promoter and my friend Joe Defalco a $100 bill for my main event ticket for FSW's Aniversary weekend next month which includes a front seat to both this year's FSW Hall of Fame induction (lots of great FSW alumni who could get inducted such as Killer Kross, Reno Scum, Lacey Ryan, Sefa Fatu, etc) and to the FSW Anniversary show the next day plus some other fan benefits.
Before the show, I got to talk to Brittnie Brooks again. The last time I was this excited about an FSW female talent was Lacey Ryan back in 2019-2020 and Lacey Ryan turned into WWE's Zoey Stark. Brittnie Brooks is killing it at only 19 years old and if you have not seen her matches then you really need to check them out. In additon to FSW, she has also wrestled in GCW, ROH, and Dreamwave where she won the Dreanwave Womens Championship at the age of 19. She is working as extra talent for AEW tomorrow (and I am guessing might have an ROH match) but if AEW does not sign her soon I am certain WWE will sign her no later within the next two years based on her look and ability (and she works in Las Vegas which is the new headquarters location for WWE after being bought by UFC.)
