This show can be summed up in a single GIF. Why has Disney made it their personal mission to ruin what Lucas built?!? I might be alone here, but I'm sure not alone in the S.W. Universe. Watch any youtube review or listen to any podcast, it's an abomination.

There's been some good Disney SW stuff and some bad Disney SW stuff. Haven't subjected myself to Acolyte and not sure I will.

My personal overall opinion is that this week's epsiode was one of the best so far for The Acolyte. An action-filled episode, a key reveal (although not a surprising reveal IMO,) and another cliffhanger ending that makes me look very forward to next week's episode.
In regards to the Sith and Star Wars canon, I will see how this season plays out before jumping to any conclusion.

Tonight I watched the season finale of this series. warning, possible SPOILERS below There are somethings I did not like, but also somethings I did like including the 2 big cameo appearances. I think the Sith figure in the cave was Darth Plagueis which makes me wonder if Qimir is Palpatine/The Emperor. I think this series kept the canon intact. ~KB~, did you see this episode? If so, what are your thoughts on how they concluded this season?

It's going to be a one season wonder as Lucasfilms has announced there will not be a second season.

Disney took a very popular franchise with a proven formula and screwed it up every possible way--most recently by turning the SW franchise into some social agenda experiment. I have long come to the conclusion that to be a CEO you have to be devoid of any common sense or understanding of your product, and then hire people that have even less of those qualities.

While the series was not great, it was enjoyable. I think it got unfair treatment from a part of the fan base who was unfair with the show and couldn’t look past the diversity to really enjoy it.

While this is part of it to be sure, it by far is not the entire reason it took the social beating that it deserves. It's about continuity and for goodness's sake hire writers that have a clue... A CLUE about the subject they are writing for.

In the end Disney made the choices it made and now it is paying the costly consequences.
