Although I had only been home for a couple of hours and I was exhausted as I have been up since Thursday morning (other than getting a little sleep on the plane today,) I had such an awesome time at this show tonight!
This show was the first wrestling show to take place in Area 15 and the venue was great. I have never been to a show where the incredible digital graphics on the wall are changing and it was a cool and unique wrestling expereince. Me and my friends had GA tickets but we secured one of the few tables at the venue and had a great time.
Nick J. Holiday, the manager of Culture Inc, who is a friend of a friend and who I now also consider a friend of myself who I have met before along with the other members of Culture Inc. (#48 on last year's PWI TOP 100 tag teams and right ahead of Imperium at #49, no comment on whether Culture Inc. are signed or not for the game as I consider Nick a friend regardless) sat at the venue table tonight with me and my friends. Nick is now based in Las Vegas and I enjoyed getting to talk to him alot about wrestling while we sat and drank at our table together tonight. I will see Nick again tomorrow as he is doing commentary for FSW.
At Intermission, I made multiple good signings of some outside talent who were brought in for this show. These are names I have wanted for the game for awhile and they are now signed and I am excited about these talents getting cards in the probably near future.
The match prior to the main event was Matthew Justice defending his Circle 6 World Championship against Gregory Sharpe. I wore my Matthew Justice shirt to the show tonight and he saw and pointed at it during his entrance and during the match as the action spilled out of the ring toward our table he said "nice shirt!, this one is for you" as Nick told me Justice put over my shirt.
During the main event, Matthew Justice was standing at the bar and I went and talked to him for awhile. I actually had my previously autographed Matthew Justice card with me (I tend to take cards of talent on the show as possible references for talent I might want to sign) and we talked about both Circle 6 and his card tonight. One thing we discussed was his BALCONY DIVE mechanic as he often has a tendency to jump off the highest structure in a venue but he told me Area 15 had strict rules in place for tonigth's show so he was not able to do it. The photo below is me and Matthew Justice at the bar and it was taken by Caasnova Valentine:
I think this is a 1-time thing of Graphouse running Area 15 as the venue is obviously not cheap to rent, but they did announce tonight a joint show here in Las Vegas with West Coast Pro in September.
Zeke how was Area 15? Sounds like an interesting place.
