Thanks for the Waterloo crime report Chad. I heard it and my brain said, "Whoa, dude, isn't that the bar under your Air B&B!?!" I said, "shit brain, i hope not!" and jumped on my reservation page. There were two I had been choo, choo, choosing from. One was above The Screaming Eagle. The other one was slightly more expensive but nicer and a block plus further away that also didn't have a review complaing about said Eagle bar. For once, I made the right choice! I never choose wisely. I always say, "It's better to be lucky than good!"

It is sage advice.

I started listening to this episide today while doing some errands (library, Petco to get some things for Ahsoka with a gift card somebody gave me, lunch.) According to the temperature readout in my truck, it was 122 degrees the other day but it turns out my truck might have been off a little as somebody told me the official high that day was only 120 degrees. Nevertheless it has been really hot here even by Las Vegas standards as we just broke a local record with 7 straight days at 115 degrees. www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/las-vegas-sees-record-breaking-7-consecutive-days-of-scorching-temperatures-115-degrees-or-higher/ar-BB1pUGxcBut last night there was a brief thunderstorm and it has cooled down a little. I am surprised the WWE did not do a steel cage blowoff match between Snuka and Piper. Snuka had some classic steel cage matches with Don Muraco and Bob Backlund and a cage match IMO would have been perfect for the nature of the Snuka-Piper feed. Plus, although at that point I would have personally booked Piper to win the feud against Snuka, in a steel cage there are definitely ways to end a feud and protect the other wrestler at the same time even though Piper did not like to lose. I hope to continue listening to more of this episode later today.

Snuka lost both of those blow off cage matches against Muraco and Backlund didn't he? A 3rd cage loss would have seemed very repetitious wouldn't it?

Great episode. Listened while visiting up in Oregon so if your stats for the Beaver State show more than usual, that’s why. I loved the discussion on feuds. I’d love a deep dive into the nuts and bolts of how you each do a feud. What’s your trigger for the start of a feud and how do you usually play one out? Any specific special matches you go to or build to? Three matches? Six matches? Etc. And as a follow up, have you ever had a feud start and then one wrestler/team just stomped the other killing the feud? Great questions! We'll dig into them soon!

I watched all the videos as usual, least I can do since Cory takes the time to find and post them, but... the turkey in the straw one. 2 minutes and 36 seconds of my life that I will never get back, Chad Olson I blame you - since you said it on the show. Who pulls that saying out of thin air?!? I have an incredible memory for absolutely pointless quotes, songs and bits of trivia that will never help me in life, but I sure get a kick out of them! And to be honest, I don't even remember what I said! My standard retort, retort when I pull up useless quotes or info and my wife calls me out on it. 'Signs of a misspent youth'

They said my name again!! I even got to talk to Tim Dalton at gcon #westernNYwarriors! Go Red Wings!
Since it was sort of brought up on the discord and just went to a wedding where the food wasnt good (chicken french is weird), here's a fun question for you ... you're throwing a champions/legends party what are you serving as the appetizer, entree and dessert?
Sorry folks and Tom but I don't understand sloppy joes. I would always rather just make a burger or if I'm grounding things up I'd do tacos.
I feel like for a party pizza is the easiest go to. Real wings for appetizer, yeah it's more expensive but adult chicken nuggets or as they've been branded boneless wings don't seem to hit the same note.
Wings. Pizza. And since I asked about dessert my wife makes macaroons. I'd have her make a bunch of different flavors.

Sorry folks and Tom but I don't understand sloppy joes. I would always rather just make a burger or if I'm grounding things up I'd do tacos. In Iowa and other Midwestern states, a popular variation of the Sloppy Joe is called the Maid-Rite. Everyone has their own variation of it but in general, it's less sloppy and more flavorful (in my opinion). I started making them for my kids in the last year, using a variation of our mom's recipe, and the kids love them! Maid-Rite is also a chain of restaurants that serves them. You can find the locations here. It looks like there's one in Waterloo!
