Making your fed more interesting

So I've been playing a lot of the Early Classics set that came out last year. I think I ran through every possible match and I am only about to start April. I run TV every week and have one Premium Live Event a month.

Any ideas on how to make it a tad more interesting? I've been booking shows based off rankings.

I need to start doing feuds - I know. What else though? Thoughts?

I did a Round Robin Galaxian Classic--based on AEW's Continental Classic. The matches are posted in COTG results under Galaxian Classic if you want to check it out.

I had three groups of six wrestlers each. Everyone competed against everyone else in their group with points on the line. The winners of each group met in Round Robin Matches to determine the winner of the Galaxian Cup. If you did something like that, it would probably take up several weeks of TV shows.

You could do a Wild Card Tag Team tournament. "Randomly" put guys together in tag teams. That would lead to regular tag partners being on different teams. Enemies tagging together. Things like that.

I know what you mean about needing something to fresh things up. I have slowed down running EC cards as I wait for the next set. I do not recall the last time I rolled and posted EC, to lazy to go check as I type, but I rolled one last night that will get posted tomorrow. Then it will probably be a few weeks till the next one.

I tend to try and think about the things I love about real life pro wrestling when booking things in my feds. Whether that's tournaments, particular storylines or things people can feud over. I am playing Early Classics as my entry into COTG, having found the game through the indies line, and that's the kind of approach I have taken so far.

There's also taking what happens in your matches to create further feuds or stories. If someone cheats to win, or gets a surprise win, that can kick things off for me

Maybe a mixed tag team tour ey or match ?

If you have a face champion, you could pair up two or three heels who band together to try and bring down the champion. When they do, then you can have the wrestler that isn't the champion become jealous or have the new champion become too much of a blowhard that he annoys the guys who helped him get the title and then dissension among the heels. One of them turning one face/tweener creating a new feud.

I've introduced sponsorship deals for the last many years (real time), so it gives a handful of guys a shot at some lucrative rewards just to keep the competitive juices flowing and it's worked great. I only do one or two a game year to make them feel BIG.

Ooh, I like this idea. How do you work it, is it like companies or like a rich benefactor type deal?

Well at the moment it's various companies across the galaxy (like K-Pro Energy Drinks (some what like ICOPRO lol) Nova Shoes (much like Roo shoes that WCW had in the early 90s Also with Deva in the fed she's a great resource for added bonuses like her Spotlight. Some of these competitions I'll do at the intermission of house shows just to pump them up
