Big Time Wrestling TV Episode # 01
July 17th, 2024 - Ottawa, Ontario, Canada - TD PLACE
Commentators: Gordon Solie and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
The show opens with our commentators welcoming us to the first episode of Big Time Wrestling TV! Gordon Solie says we are gearing up to our first Premium Live Event called "Extreme Heat" which is a little over five weeks away! They then announce that there will be four matches here tonight. They then say that they are going straight to the ring for the first match of the show.
Curt Hennig beat Harley Race with a Hennig Plex at 2:25.
The show then goes to a commercial break.
After the commercial break we go to our commentators. They announce that next week we will see the crowning of the first ever Big Time Wrestling Heavyweight champion! They then announce that they are going to the ring for the first episode of The Disco Inferno show!
THE DISCO INFERNO SHOW!
After the commercial break we go to the ring where we see Disco Inferno. He has a pink love seat sitting on one corner of the ring. On the other side of the ring there is a fancy chair. He is standing in the middle of the ring with a microphone in hand.
Disco Inferno: Welcome everyone to "The Disco Inferno" show! On this edition I have some really special guests. They are Buddy Rose and Doug Somers!
The shot goes to the entrance way where we see "Playboy" Buddy Rose and Doug Somers come down the entrance ramp to the ring. They get in the ring and take a microphone each.
"Playboy" Buddy Rose: Isn't it great to be on The Disco Inferno show. We have a big announcement for the wrestling world.
Doug Somers: That's right, we'd like to introduce our manager, she is Sensational - she's Sherri Martel!
The shot goes to the entrance way and we see Sherri Martel coming down to the ring wearing a purple dress. As she approaches the ring, Doug Somers gets out of the ring and helps her up the steel steps and into the ring.
Disco Inferno: The gang is all here! Sherri Martel, you've got yourself a great tag team to manage.
Sherri Martel: That's right. Buddy Rose and Doug Somers are going straight to the top of the Big Time Wrestling Tag Team division. With me in their corner, they will win the tag team belts, I can guarantee it. As a matter of fact we are looking for a match for next week's show. Any tag team who want a shot at the best, come out here and claim your shot at the greatest tag team in the wrestling world.
The shot goes to the entrance way and we see Billy Gunn and Road Dogg come out. They are not alone because walking behind them is Chyna. They all get in the ring. Billy Gunn and Road Dogg take a microphone each.
Billy Gunn: Buddy Rose, Doug Somers - hell Sherri, why wait until next week. Let's go right now here in Ottawa!
The fans cheer and the six wrestlers fight around the ring and Disco Inferno goes to safer ground outside the ring.
After The New Age Outlaws and Chyna clear the ring, Road Dogg takes a microphone.
Road Dogg: We will see you next week, you better be prepared because we plan to run you out of Big Time Wrestling!
The show then goes to a commercial break.
Antonio Inoki defeated Missing Link with a cross body block at 9:34!
Baron Von Raschke defeated Bad News Allen with a cross body block at 4:52!
BARON AND ALLEN BRAWL!
After the match the two get into a shoving match. This turns into flying fists by both men. They then go to the floor where Allen wallops Raschke over the head with a steel chair. Raschke is bleeding heavily. Federation officials finally come out and break it up but the damage is done. We then go into a Randy Savage promo backstage.
RANDY SAVAGE SPEAKS!
We then go to Jim Ross who is standing by with Randy Savage.
Jim Ross: Randy Savage, in just a few moments you step into the ring with "The Franchise" Shane Douglas in a first round match in the Big Time Wrestling Heavyweight championship tournament. What are your thoughts going into this bout?
"Macho Man" Randy Savage: They say the cream always rises to the top and I am going to rise to the top - the top turnbuckle that is and hit the Flying Elbow drop. I will be the first Big Time Wrestling Heavyweight champion. Now if you don't mind I've got a match to prepare for!
The shot then goes to the ring for the main event match of the program.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage defeated "The Franchise" Shane Douglas with a Flying Elbow Drop at 2:01 to advance to the next round in the Big Time Wrestling Heavyweight championship tournament.
HENNIG AND FRANCINE ARE SEEN!
As the show is about to go off the air we see "The Queen of Extreme" Francine leaving TD Place with "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig. The two are holding hands as Curt walks to a blue Porsche. Curt opens the the door for Francine and she gets in. Curt then walks to the driver's side and gets in and they pull away from the underground parking lot as the show goes off the air!
