Character Chat: Tempest

Inspired by the brief discussion about whether or not Saber makes an excellent face on Myth Worlds versus Krakan comes a new series for discussion called Character Chat.

And we start with Tempest. Just looking for fans general thoughts on the characters and a brief summary on how they’ve done for you in your fed.

TEMPEST - Current leader of a rebuilding Animan team in Multiverse 1: Myth Worlds.

Tempest is a real suave guy in my fed. Billed as the Debonair of the Deep, Tempest wows the ladies with his daredevil bravery both on the cliffs and in the ring.

He has that tough guy edge all AniMen do, courageous and gritty despite his outward smiling baby face looks.

He’s a successful Interplanetary Champion in my fed, having memorable feuds with guys like Fist and Burning Man.

Hasn’t reached the level of chasing the GWF Galactic Title yet, but the potential is there.

Overall very cool character and I can’t wait for a real bad ass update more on the Namoor or Aqua Man mold where he loses the smile and looks more like Max Shield did when he got his great update w the ripped shirt and goatee.

It's funny cause right now he's that guy that can't capture gold, he's been close but fallen short every time. So I had them join the Greeks and call them Atlanteans instead. Hoping someone else in the lead role may help him

I'd really like to see him get a boost and become a legit main eventer or at least close. A very fresh feeling character with great art and tons of potential, I hope we get an upgrade sooner rather than later.

This is Saber for me. Always the bridesmaid and never the bride in both singles & tag.

The only time he won a title in my fed was when my entire fed attempted to return to Dimension K from Kronos and Solaris accidentally overshot the distance and instead temporarily landed in the Early Classics Era. Saber actually was my first EC Era GWF Champion and he often refers to himself as the real first GWF Champion in history, but nobody takes him or his boasts seriously.

He also has Apex, Siege and Basilisk who are Champions right now and there the three best guys in my fed right now

Tempest has been solid for me, holding my IP title twice and always having good feuds. Quagmire has struggled a bit so they've not won my tag titles from the Gladiators.

Tempest is the kind of first card I love - solid stats that could be IP champion with room to grow. Fantastic art which always makes the thought of an update worrysome, always hope it's a case of Swarm and not Perfect Specimen. He seems like someone who could lead the hero team if given the time and not pushed aside. I see loads of upside in him.

For me he is a guy who ends up on the back burner. I just have not got behind him yet to try and push him. I plan on doing something with him sometime, hopeful sooner rather than later, but nothing really so far. I had his sister, Hyla, join the Animen team while he strides out on his own. Maybe I will have him join them and that will get my creative juices flowing in regard to him.

One of my least favorite current characters, hasn't done much of anything for me.

Unfortunately he's done nothing but lose in big key matches (and all title bouts too). I pictured him the Diesel of the Deep (as he kind of looks like Nash to me).
Also his sister Hyla has gotten some great success early in the women's division so he's been left in the dust so far. It's a real shame cause I was looking forward to using him when he debuted (my dice just doesn't like him lol).
