Bowl Game Names

Just going through the list of bowl games for the upcoming season and the Arizona Bowl has taken corporate sponsorship naming rights to a whole new level. It's official name is: The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented By Gin & Juice By Dre & Snoop.🤪

I feel bad for whoever ends up being the play-by-play announcer for this game. Imagine after EVERY commercial break having to say: "Welcome back to the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl Presented by Gin & Juice By Dre & Snoop." This strikes me as a game that the commentator with the least seniority at ESPN is going to get stuck calling as I can see the other announcers with some clout refusing the job based on that ridiculously long name alone.

On the plus side the announcers won't have to do it for a full 60 minute game as I see the game being called shortly after halftime due to haze. Not dense fog but dense smoke from all the Mary Jane. Puff puff.

If Snoop does color commentary it will be worth listening to the constant self-plugging.

After the positive reaction to his involvement in the Olympics, you can pretty much guarantee he will be on commentary at some point in the game.
