So, I've been running my territories and ran into a question of injury lengths. Whenever an injury arises, the game typically calls for the wrestler to be injured for a number of fight cards, rolled or predetermined. My question is: how often does the game assume you run a card?
If my territory runs weekly, an injury for "five cards" has a guy on the shelf for over a month. But if my territory runs several shows a week, that becomes a very minor injury. And if we run monthly, that's a very major injury, shelving a wrestler for half a year.
I know the obvious answer is "it's up to you, promoter", but I'm curious what the original intention was.

I think that would be a question for Tom, but an educated guess would be once a week, every other week at the most, as that was the standard for the most part back when the game was created.

I'd also guarantee you Tom would say something like "I don't remember what I was thinking at the time" which is likely true as it was almost 40 years ago at this point.
Injury length is more than anything a mechanic to get someone out of the territory for a bit so they can make a big return or let a heel cool down as needed.
