(NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE) (Sunday, January 1, 1989 @ The Omni in Atlanta, GA) (Debut under Superstar Productions) ________________________________________________ - (OPENING MATCH) Steve Williams (w/Kevin Sullivan) defeated Ranger Ross by disqualification. - (Vacant NWA World Television Championship = First Round) Eddie Gilbert pinned Larry Zbyszko with the Hot Shot. - (Top Contenders Tag Team Match) Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane) (w/Jim Cornette) defeated The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) when Eaton pinned Fulton with the Veg-O-Matic. - Tommy Rich defeated Kevin Sullivan by disqualification when Sullivan nailed Rich with a chair. - (MAIN EVENT) (Vacant NWA World Championship = First Round) Wahoo McDaniel pinned Dan Spivey (w/Kevin Sullivan) when Spivey missed McDaniel with a running clothesline, sending Spivey crashing into the turnbuckle.  |
