All that talk about playing a million days in a row inspired me to give this concept I've been kicking around for a while a shot... I tried it for a bit a LONG time ago and it was pretty fun. There is a large pool or wrestlers that may be chosen to compete... at this time the pool is from the color cards I have.. a couple Hall of Fame sets, a couple RoH, a couple Chikara, and NWA Hollywood. The days event is a 5 match gauntlet. The winner gets to be in the final match tomorrow and defend his spot. One of the 5 other competitors will be chosen to come back in the first match. The other 4 go to the back of the pile (or more towards the middle of the pile, depending on performance). You earn 1 point for every win and 3 points for winning the gauntlet for a day. There may be a feud settling special card here and there as well, we'll see Day 1 Chuck Taylor def. Archibald Peck*** by DQ Perhaps not the most high quality, auspicious beginning. Peck almost turned the crowd on the Kentucky Gentleman with his resilience.. Taylor pretty much just beat him like a dirty rug. Peck eventually went outside and smashed his drum major baton over Taylor's head to cause a DQ in a match he was very likely to lose anywayJack Brisco def. Chuck Taylor (Rolling Reverse Cradle) Taylor was still a bit groggy from the baton shot... and Brisco wasted no time. After shaking hands to start the match, a quick throw and a roll up and it was all over. Taylor was furious and tried to re-start the fight after the bell, but was stopped by security.Jack Brisco def. Kyle O'Reilly** (Rolling Reverse Cradle) O'Reilly seemed intimidated at first... or maybe a bit star struck at being in the ring with a legend. He snapped out of it before he suffered the same fate as Chuck Taylor, but that only delayed the inevitable. Brisco outwrestled him from the outset, a real clinic on mat wrestling to take his 2nd winJack Brisco* Def. Christopher Daniels** (Figure Four Leglock) This was by far the best match of the card! Daniels came out on fire, and Brisco was feeling the effects of multiple matches, but he manages to just kick out of the Best Moonsault Ever. Daniels never really got control back, and eventually had to tap to the Figure FourJack Brisco* def. Don Curtis (Rolling Reverse Cradle) Curtis thought he had it made, as Brisco was visibly winded at this point, but was a bit too non-chalant and didn't press his advantage aggressively enough. Brisco once again stuck with the roll up for his 4th win and managed to be champ for the day!Points Earned: Jack Brisco - 6 Chuck Taylor - 1 After the announcement that Christopher Daniels would be the returning person for tomorrow, Chuck Taylor again came out from the back and started screaming at the ring announcer, but once again security had to escort him off.

Day 2
Christopher Daniels** def, El Generico**** (Death Valley Driver) Amazing Match that had the crowd on their feet and chanting 'fight forever' and two different points. EL Generico electrified the crowd with his awkward but effective high flying, but Daniels kept managing to avoid the worst of the impacts and fought out of the BrainBustah multiple times. He finally got the pin with a vicious looking Death Valley Driver.
Christopher Daniels def. ACH* (Angels Wings) Daniels was still riding the high of his big win, and as such ACH seemed a pale imitation of the giant he just slew. Daniels made quick work of him.
John Pesek def. Christopher Daniels (Tigerman Toehold) Starting the match, Daniels seemed to welcome the slower pace as a breather after two hectic victories, but he quickly realized his mistake. Pesek dismantled the already tired Fallen Angels and had him tapping out in short order.
William Muldoon** def. John Pesek***** (Body Lift and Throw) Two masters of the mat battled back and forth with counters and counters to the counters for several minutes before Muldoon got the upper hand. The Solid Man seemed confident he could wear down Pesek, and his grinding Hammerlocks and 1/2 Nelsons seemed to do the trick. After the pin Pesek staggered to his feet and complained that he was hit with a low blow as Muldoon was lifting him, but the referee was not interested. The replay seemed to show that perhaps Muldoon was overly vigorous in grabbing Pesek for a lift an throw, but without an ill intent.
Jack Brisco def. William Muldoon*** (Rolling Reverse Cradle) Brisco came out with the poise and confidence of a champion, and went straight to work on Muldoon, nearly winning in the first minute. Brisco's offensive barrage lead Muldoon to take a powder outside the ring for a moment. John Pesek was there waiting, as he popped up seemingly from nowhere and delivered a brutal kidney punch. Brisco had no idea it had happened, and simply rolled up the staggering Muldoon to finish the victory.
Points Earned: Jack Brisco - 3 Christopher Daniels - 2 John Pesek - 1 William Muldoon - 1
As a result of the incident in the last match of the evening, William Muldoon was named to be the wrestler to return tomorrow.

Day 3
William Muldoon def. Rhett Titus*** (Flying Head Mare takedown) Titus was very subdued and coming to the ring, and didn't engage in his usual antics when he got to the ring. Whether that was due to respect for Muldoon, focus, or something else wasn't clear... but it didn't work. Muldoon dominated, never really allowing Titus any offense at all on his way to an easy win.
William Muldoon* def. Lio Rush*** (Body Lift and Throw) The Solid Man continued to live up to his name in this one. Rush was unable to get him off his feet, but his speed and agility kept Muldoon from really digging in and grounding him. After a few minutes Rush hit a springboard moonsault out of nowhere to get a near fall, but the pin attempt also but in in Muldoon's grip, and he never let it go.
David Starr def. William Muldoon (Blackheart Buster) Starr went the opposite route of Rhett Titus earlier in the night... passing out buttons for the American Socialist association and proclaiming that he was wrestling 'for the people' Muldoon did not know what to make of him and was off his game from the start of the match. Starr kept away and kept moving and never let Muldoon use his mat wrestling skills.. sticking to high impact moves to get the win
David Starr def. Gorilla Monsoon (DQ)
The penultimate match of the night was once again a bit of a mess for the 3rd straight night. Starr continued to go heavy on the taunting, proclaiming the match up a real life David and Goliath match up, and promising he would lead his people to salvation. Monsoon just got to work and overwhelmed Starr with his size and power, but when he followed him outside and slammed him onto the announce table his head seemed to hit a video monitor and he because scarily still. The referee called for the bell and the doctors.. Monsoon was even a bit concerned. After about 5 minutes, Starr popped up as if nothing had happened and raised his arms in victory. Monsoon was already in the back at the time, but was not a happy camper, tearing up the back stage area in frustration.
Jack Brisco* def. David Starr** (Dropkick) Starr seemed to be out of tricks to mentally disrupt his opponent, but this time he came with Brisco well scouted from the previous two event, and easily countered the Rolling Reverse every time Brisco tried it. Brisco showed his championship petigree and changed strategy, faking the roll up to freeze Star and delivering a perfect dropkick to the jaw that knocked him cold to get another victory.
Points Earned: Jack Brisco - 3 William Muldoon - 2 David Starr - 2
David Starr is chosen to return tomorrow with his two wins and engaging showmanship. The Committee also announced that starting tomorrow it will stage a 'challenge match' after the day's tournament to settle some of the issues that seem to need settling. The winner of the challenge match will move up 10 spots in the list to return to the tournament, while the loser will go back to the bottom. The first challenge match tomorrow will be Christopher Daniels Vs. Chuck Taylor!

Day 4
Willie Mack def. David Starr**** (Standing Moonsault) Mack was not interested or moved by any of Starr's pre-match antics, and then went on to completely dominate the match. He beat Starr pillar to post and left the fans looking for Starr to just stay down and let it end. Starr is the first returnee to lose in the first match.
AJ Styles def. Willie Mack***** (Styles Clash) Styles got a huge ovation has he came to the ring, and proceeded to do to Mack was he did in the last match. The match went both inside the ring and out as bh men got their licks in, by Styles' attacks were always the better of each exchange. After working the leg outside then locking in the Calf Crusher multiple times, Mack could barely stand for the Styles Clash to end it.
AJ Styles def. Fritz von Goering** (Styles Clash) Styles started out slowly... perhaps to give himself more of a breather, as von Goering didn't seem to offer much of a threat. Ince the opportunity presented itself Styles pounced for another victory.
AJ Styles*** def. Michael Elgin** (Phenomenal DDT) A classic speed vs. power battle that was definitely the best match of the tournament so far! Elgin kicked out of the Styles Clash not once, but twice, and it seemed all the energy just ran out of AJ after the 2nd one. Elgin took control and punished his opponent for several minutes, but when he went for his powerbomb finisher Styles countered it into a DDT to score the big win!
Jack Brisco def AJ Styles (Lateral Guillotine) Styles had nothing left after 3 wins, two of the long, hard fought matches. Brisco changed gears and used his size and power advantage of Styles to good effect for a quick, effecient win to stay at the top of the bracket!
Points Earned: Jack Brisco - 3 AJ Styles - 3 Willie Mack - 1
Challenge Match! Chuck Taylor def. Christopher Daniels (Better Moonsault) Taylor came out all business and was on fire from the opening bell.. staying away from any fun, crowd pleasing shenanigans and just going right to work. Daniels never really got any offense in and Taylor used his own version of Daniels BME to get the pin. Daniels was furious and had to be held back by security... this feud is far from over!
AJ Styles with his 3 wins will come back tomorrow.
Tomorrow's Challenge match with be John Pesek vs. William Muldoon

Adam Cole def. AJ Style (Panama Sunrise) Cole got an even bigger ovation that Styles did yesterday. Cole kept the crown entralled with Storytime.... talking about Jack Brisco and his later years as a corporate stooge to VKH. Styles was unimpressed, and annoyed at the ovation, so he started off the match early with a dropkick. Cole did not appreciate it and the two tore into each other in a short, violent affair. Styles missed a dive to the outside and Cole took advantage for the win [/i}
Adam Cole def. Mike Mondo* (Florida Key) Cole seemed to want to finish story time (perhaps just a veteran move to try to get a breath) but Mondo would have none of it and got the early upper hand, but it didn't take long for Cole to get back on track. [/i]
Baron Von Raschke* def. Adam Cole (Jumping Knee Smash) Cole was more focused in this one, perhaps sensing a more skilled opponent, or maybe nervous of his size disadvantage. The match stayed at the slow deliberate pace that was to Rachke's advantage, but neither man really had much of an advantage until Cole missed the Boom, and Rashke came back with his own knee smash to get the win.
Claudio Castagnoli* def Baron von Rashke (Ricola Bomb) Castinagoli handled Rashke's pace with each, and was able to win this Hoss fight after a fair amount of back and forth action.
Claudio Castagnoli* def. Jack Brisco (Ricola Bomb) for the first time in a few days Brisco had a relatively fresh opponent, and his 5th day in a row in the ring seemed to have slowed him down a bit. Claudio punished him with European uppercuts and after escaping the Roll Up turned the tables and hit the Ricola Bomb to get the win and hald Brisco's reign at the top!
Points Earned: Castagnoli - 4 Rashke - 1 Cole - 2
Brisco sets the top of the table at 15 points.
Adam Cole will return for tomorrow!
Challenge Match William Muldoon*** def John Pesek*** (3/4 Nelson) Very good back and forth match between two old masters, with several near falls and submissions. Muldoon left no doubt by staying away from his slam combo. Pesek appreciated the hard fought match and offered his hand at the end.
Tomorrow's challenge match with be another big Hoss fight... Gorilla Monsoon vs. Michael Elgin!
