It is the same as any company. It costs money to do up a run of the sets and if they are not sure they will sell most if not all of the sets it does not make sense to do it. There is a t-shirt company I like to order from, and it is the same thing. Older ones are out of stock and with other options that are likely to sell more that is what they focus on. It happens a lot in the book publishing business as well.

But what happens if we want to buy it as a gift for someone... or if we want toi start off again at 2087 with the Color Reimagined? I can't see this not being popular. SAomething's up. I see where you are coming from, however, but what happens if I want to play this set? Ebay? NO!!

Yep. I just checked the store. Just the set by itself under the Reimaged tab but there is a separate listing for the color 87 as a starter kit which is $2 more but would include dice and charts I am sure.

I browse the store a lot and noticed there are one or two links that say it's out of stock but that one has it in stock

Maybe we should cut back on some new stuff so some of the older stuff can come back into stock for newer people?
You're prolly missing out on a lot of new champions players by not having a lot of sets in stock ...

You're prolly missing out on a lot of new champions players by not having a lot of sets in stock ... One thing I believe would sell very well and wouldn't even involve print cost is adding more printable black and white sets. Particularly, the CPC sets from 2109 to around New Beginning. probably wouldn't be the thing a new player would want or look for, but a lot of people would probably be interested that already play.

I doubt it's a lot of new players....people often overestimate the gaming market. While of course they should have 87 available (as well as 25), it's why they probably need a relaunch soon for people who want to be playing the current stuff and not 50+ years of COTG.
Also in the end, the new stuff is likely going to outsell the old stuff and with an aging player base it's important to keep them buying so the company can keep going. They do need to get new players but until they start hitting the con circuit and such, they're going to need to keep the current buyers buying rather than hoping some new players will start buying.

I am a big advocate of having everything in color, especially for COTG. I wish that instead of releasing just 1 game year in color cards at 1 time perhaps instead release the entire series in color at once (for example, instead of releasing just 2094 perhaps release both 2094 and 2095 Sudden Death together?)
