I definitely pictured Gravity Ball as a mix of Rollerball and Mutant League Football. I never saw the original but I saw the Rollerball remake with Paul E with some friends in the theater.

for Rollerball, I remember liking the original from the 1970s with James Caan much better than the 2002 remake
