Patterson is one of my favorites. I would use Doctor X over Destroyer but either works and you can't go wrong with the Hennigs. Somers tends to hold Rose back so I've moved Buddy to singles for now (Somers recently lost a match against The Mulkeys for me) Good point regarding Dr X. Already "cloned" him (I'm an ONLINE player these days). Somers is definitely the weak link. Looks like he may be enhancement talent unless he and Rose get hot. I'm liking the addition of The Blonde Bombers and The Hennigs to the tag team division. Makes the division stronger and more interesting. |

In his AWA debut, Dr. X easily defeated Doug Somers with his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
Buddy Rose got a win by DQ over Billy Red Lyons. A frustrated Lyons shoved the referee, during a wild brawl with Rose, and was disqualified. Rose left the ring triumphant as Lyons fumed.
The Hennigs beat the Long Riders when Curt Hennig hit his HENNIG PLEX on Bill Irwin. This was a show stealing match from these two teams!
In the Main Event, Adrian Adonis kept his bid for a title shot alive by defeating Jim Brunzell with a bulldog headlock and pin. After the match, Adonis grabbed the mic and challenged The Crusher to a match next week to determine the number 1 contender for the AWA Heavyweight Title. The Crusher and AWA officials came out and The Crusher accepted the match!

The show opened with Bobby Heenan introducing his newest "family" member... Pat Patterson. Patterson challenged The New High Flyers to take on himself and Ray Stevens later tonight. Patterson and Stevens are now calling themselves The Blonde Bombers. Heenan said The Road Warriors should be "very worried".
Red Bastien defeated Boris Zhukov with his ATOMIC DROP. Zhukov and Bastien exchanged words after the match and had to be separated.
Larry Hennig beat Jake Milleman in less than 2 minutes with THE AXE.
The Blonde Bombers destroyed The New High Flyers when Ray Stevens hit Marty Jannetty with his BOMBS AWAY. After the match, Stevens and Patterson put a beat down on their young opponents... with Heenan directing the assault.
In the Main Event, and with AWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel at ringside, The Crusher became the number 1 contender by making Adrian Adonis submit to his CRUSHER NELSON. After the match, Bockwinkel and The Crusher had an in-ring stare down over the AWA belt.
Promoter Notes: Next week, The Vachons will get their AWA Tag Title rematch with The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering).

As the show started, Boris Zhukov came out and, in broken English, challenged Red Bastien to a match... tonight! "You will pay for disrespect you American dog... " he shouted. "You will pay..."
Dr. X easily handled Kenny Jay, making him tap to his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Dr. X is on a roll.
Steve Regal stunned young Curt Hennig as he slapped on his FT. LAUDERDALE LEGLOCK and got the win. Hennig looked dejected after the surprise loss.
Boris Zhukov defeated Red Bastien with a knee drop and pin. After the match, Zhukov tossed Bastien out of the ring and taunted the crowd. This isn't over between these two...
In the Main Event, The Vachons shocked everyone by defeating The Road Warriors to become the NEW AWA World Tag Team Champions! Mad Dog Vachon hit Hawk with his PILEDRIVER and neither Animal nor Paul Ellering could make the save. The Vachons grabbed their titles and headed to the back as The Road Warriors complained to the referee. We have new Tag Team Champs folks...
