WORLD WIDE SPORTS Presents CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING January, Week 1, Year 1, Cobo Hall, Detroit, Michigan
You see a jammed pack Cobo Hall (11,700) as Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan standing next to the ring as they rundown the action that’ll take place in tonight’s opening round of the Universal Title Tournament! We go to the back as Bill Apter is with Curt Hennig! Hennig declared that tonight is going to be Perfect, and when the tournament is done the Perfect Universal Champion will be spelled H-E-Double N- I- & G! As Hennig walks to the ring we see pre-recorded comments from Bobo Brazil! Brazil stated that it’s always a pleasure wrestling in his home arena Cobo Hall, and he’s gunning to be the Universal Champion!
1ST ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes CURT HENNIG Defeated BOBO BRAZIL by Pinfall Hennig used his speed advantage in his favor keeping the bigger Brazil on defense in the early stages of the match. Once Brazil’s power became a factor this brought out Curt’s father Larry Hennig; Brazil had the match well in control. As it looked like the younger Hennig was about to go down in defeat he managed to toss Brazil out; distracting the referee while his father nails Brazil with the Axe and tossed Brazil back in the ring. (Time of Match 18:48)
As The Hennigs was heading to the back Bill Apter tried getting a word with the father/son duo but a bloody Brazil caught up to them as Larry/Curt & Bobo started brawling to the back; as the camera followed the action the Hennigs managed to get Brazil down as the pair was putting the boots to Bobo, The R-N-R Express came to his rescue!
Gorilla was stating that the dirty actions of the Hennigs should not go unnoticed by WWS officials; The Brain tried explaining that Larry was only trying to help Brazil back to the ring! Apter is with The Sensational Destroyer! The masked man stated that tonight he’s going to take on the Masked Superstar not only beat him but he may expose his ugly face! As we see The Destroyer make his way to the ring Apter is with Masked Superstar; he stated that he’ll do what nobody else has the capabilities of, ending the Destroyer’s career!
1ST ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes THE DESTROYER Defeated MASKED SUPERSTAR by Pinfall The battle of the Masked Men was an even fought match until Destroyer hits a sensational suplex on Superstar and got the win! Unfortunately for Superstar the referee didn’t see that his foot was knocked off the rope during the pin attempt! (Time of Match 9:41)
You see an upset Superstar talking to the referee about how his foot was on the rope and should’ve be a rope-break; the referee shows he didn’t see it and the call stands; Superstar nails the referee with a solid punch before leaving. Gorilla stats that’s going to cost Superstar some money at least or even a possible suspension! The Brain stated he didn’t see anything all he was looking for was some popcorn and a soda, then asked Gorilla if he’s going to eat his banana.
1ST ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes IRON SHEIK Battled JIMMY SNUKA to a Double Countout The Sheik had the microphone doing his regular insults at the USA; Snuka attacks from behind! Snuka took the battle to Sheik but Sheik made a comeback! The action spilled out of the ring where both men battled around ringside back to the dressing room area, forcing the referee to countout both men! (Time of Match 9:34)
Bill Apter was getting ready for an interview when Sheik & Snuka’s brawl continued, as WWS officials & Security was chasing the 2 wrestlers to restore order! Nick Bockwinkle strolls into the interview; stated that there’s people that shouldn’t be involved with professional wrestling, especially a smoking, drinking, foul individual like the Sandman! He has class, and a wrestling expert like himself shouldn’t be subjected to a wrestling match with bums that looks like they sleep on the street; or compete in bingo halls! Just as Bockwinkle left to the ring; smoking and slamming a beer can into his forehead is The Sandman; who makes end of seeing gesture by stroking is Singapore Cain, letting out a big belch, looks at Apter smiling before leaving.
1ST ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes NICK BOCKWINKLE Defeated SANDMAN By Disqualification Bockwinkle out wrestled Sandman for most of the match. No matter what Bockwinkle could do Sandman kept taking all his shots. Sandman did finally mount an offensive attack but his Extreme ways cost him the match as Sandman used his Singapore Cain causing the referee to disqualify him! (Time of Match 13:02)
After the match a bruise and battered Bockwinkle fled to the back as Sandman was drinking his post match beers to the delight of the fans! Apter is with The Crusher as he is proclaiming that tonight he’ll do what few wrestlers has been able to beat Harley Race! As Crusher was making his way to the ring Harley Race was doing his prematch interview with Apter; Race was addressing Crusher’s boasting stating the man must’ve had too much beer and a very bad stogie! Race continued to address the fact is he’s going to be the Universal Champion when all is said and done.
1ST ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes THE CRUSHER Defeated HARLEY RACE by Submission The 2 wrestlers went at it in the beginning of the match, Crusher managed to get a little advantage and almost scored the pin after a Bolo Punch. Race managed to turn thing around scoring 2 Piledrivers but Crusher’s toughness kept him in the match. At the closing point of the match Crusher managed to lock in the Crusher Nelson, Race tried to tough it out but passed out to the submission hold! (Time of Match 17:32)
Jim Duggan was interviewing with Apter when Hansen barged in and the 2 foes started a brawl heading into the arena!
1ST ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes STAN HANSEN Defeated HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN By Pinfall The 2 brawlers battled all around ringside using various weapons they can get a hold of. The referee finally got some order as Duggan was taking it to Hansen until a missed knee drop! Hansen sealed Duggan fate after using The Brazos Valley Backbreaker and 2 Lariats! (Time of Match 9:54)
Magnum TA was talking about how some wrestlers don’t like earning a championship and thinks money buys everything; and it doesn’t! As TA was heading to the ring DiBiase was with Apter as Virgil was counting the money, DiBiase promised that he’ll advance to the championship either by the talent he has or the money he has abundance of! Everyone has a price for the Million Dollar Man! 1ST ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes MAGNUM TA Defeated MILLION DOLLAR MAN TED DiBIASE By Disqualification DiBiase had Virgil try and bribe TA with money, TA nails Virgil, started fast with his offense on DiBiase! No matter what DiBiase tried TA had an answer for and had him set for a Belly to Belly only for the pin attempt to be close to the ropes allowing DiBiase to use the ropes to break it. DiBiase managed to turn things his way when he caught TA charging towards him in the corner, DiBiase moved TA hits the turnbuckles hard! DiBiase had thing going his way even locked in his Million Dollar Dream, TA managed to break it by backing DiBiase into the turnbuckles! TA turn the momentum his way trying for another Belly to Belly but Virgil jumped Magnum from behind causing the DQ! (Time of Match 15:22)
Bill Apter is with The Hammer and his manager Jimmy Hart! Hart boasts that Valentine will beat The Nature Boy, the Hammer says tonight he’ll retire Rogers and break his legs while doing it! As the Hammer and his manager walks to the ring, Rogers explains to Apter why the Universal Title is important to him and that he plans on making his legacy even better as the 1st Universal Champion.
1ST ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes BUDDY ROGER Defeated GREG VALENTINE by Pinfall Rogers targeted Valentine’s knee from the start softening up his opponent for a early Figure 4 Grapevine. After The Hammer escaped the hold Jimmy Hart distracted Rogers even got him to chase him setting up Valentine’s offensive! The Hammer attacked The Nature Boy almost gaining a victory after a piledriver! As the match came close to the timelimit Hart tried distracting the referee so Valentine can use the megaphone, Rogers dodged the attempt took the megaphone from Valentine nails him between his eyes tossed the object out and the referee counted 3!
You see Hart tending to his fallen wrestler as Rogers heads to the back, Gorilla & The Brain closes out the show until next week as we close out the Universal Championship Tournament!

WWS Presents CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING January, Week 2, Year 1, Cobo Hall, Detroit, Michigan
A cold chilly night in the Motor City, Bill Apter was reporting from outside of The Cobo Hall the Hennig’s (Larry & Curt) was walking up only for WWS executive member Jack Tunney to inform Larry Hennig that he’s been banned from the arena because of last week’s interference! We go to Gorilla Monsoon (holding the Universal Title belt) and Bobby Hennan as they discuss tonight’s card and the conclusion of the Universal Title Tournament!
Bill Apter is with the Destroyer, who’s relieved that Larry the Ax has been banned from the Arena stats that tonight he’s all business and plans to end Curt’s run of success! As the Destroyer is walking to the ring he’s getting the support of the fans but 1 masked guy was mocking him! Curt Hennig is with Apter and very unhappy with Tunney for banning his father from witnessing him possibly winning the Universal Title tonight!
2ND ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes CURT HENNIG defeated THE DESTROYER by pinfall The 2 wrestlers was showcasing their wrestling skills. Destroyer was working on Hennig’s leg and managed to get the figure 4 on a couple of time only for his opponent to escape the hold. The closing part of the match saw Hennig and Destroyer brawl out of the ring and the masked fan heckling Destroyer possibly handed Hennig an object! When the action returned to the ring Destroyer was on his way to win the match, Hennig lands a punch knocking out the masked man! The referee counted the fall! (Time of match 11:32)
Hennig celebrates his win and appears to hand something to the masked fan whom quickly leaves, as Hennig was entering the curtain Bobo Brazil was there being restrained telling Hennig that he’ll stop his cheating ways! Bill Apter was trying to get words from Stan Hansen, the big Texan shoved Apter aside and proceeded to the ring! As Hanson was storming and stomping to the ring, Crusher with a mug of beer and his stogie tells Apter he’s very happy he got Hansen, because he loves a fight and proceeded to the ring!
2ND ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes THE CRUSHER defeats STAN HANSEN by Disqualification The 2 notorious brawlers took the fight to each other, when Crusher started to get the upper hand Hansen grabs his bullrope using the bell busted Crusher open! As the referee tried getting the object from the big Texan, Hansen pushes the referee down and proceeded to choke Crusher with the rope bringing out Hacksaw Jim Duggan with his trusty 2x4 to chase off Hansen! (Time of match 5:03)
As the medics was tending to Crusher, Hansen was with Apter, the big Texan stated that not only did he take the fight but he whooped Crusher like a yellow dog that he is! Gorilla stats that Hansen’s wild actions will most certainly cost him money! The Brain said that Crusher was looking to use the rope and Hansen accidentally hit Crusher and the referee! The medics assisting Crusher into the training room as Bill Apter will report on if Crusher will be able to wrestle later against the winner of Magnum/Rogers.
2ND ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes BUDDY ROGERS Defeated MAGNUM TA by pinfall The 2 wrestlers took it to each other, Rogers kick out of 2 pin attempts after Magnum’s belly to belly, Magnum took everything from Rogers that he dished out. Magnum & Rogers was tying up near the ropes as they tumbled over the top rope Magnum damaged his knee giving the Nature Boy the opportunity to use his Figure 4 to weaken Magnum to the point where he got pinned with the hold! (Time of match 18:43)
Bill Apter says that doctors & WWS officials are trying to talk Crusher out of finishing the tournament, Bockwinkle walks over to Apter; states that the real news is that he’s healthy and ready to not only finish the tournament but win the Universal Title! As Bockwinkle walks to the ring, Hennig is with Apter; Hennig explains that Bockwinkle & him has history of wrestling each other in the past in another promotion, and recalls it was him beating Bockwinkle; says watch lightning strike twice!
SIMI-FINAL ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-30 minutes CURT HENNIG Defeats NICK BOCKWINKLE by Pinfall Hennig/Bockwinkle matches are classics and this match was no exception! The 2 wrestlers battered each other pillar to post Hennig managed to bloody Bockwinkle with a well placed axe punishing him and almost scoring the win with a Hennig-Plex but Bockwinkle kicked out. The tide turned for Bockwinkle when he catapulted Hennig into the turnbuckles, and started his offense, and managed to use the Bockwinkle Sleeper, just when it looked as if Hennig was going to sleep, he used the turnbuckles to put Bockwinkle in a pin for a close 3 count; another Axe and Hennig-Plex a 1..2..3, Hennig is in the championship final! (Time of Match 25:01)
Apter is reporting from outside of the training room waiting on word if there’s going to be a Rogers/Crusher Match! The Nature Boy heads to the ring for the match! We break back to Bill Apter who’s with Jack Tunney, the WWS official stats that the regulations of the Michigan State Athletic Commission Prohibits, any fighter/wrestler to compete with a concussion, therefore The Crusher has to forfeit the match!
SIMI-FINAL ROUND UNIVERSAL TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-30 minutes BUDDY ROGERS Defeats THE CRUSHER by forfeit After the crowd settled down Apter went into the ring with The Nature Boy; Rogers told Apter that what happened to Crusher was unfortunate and that if he’s able to win the Universal Title that he’ll give Crusher a title shot in the future! Curt Hennig enters the ring stating that the Nature Boy needs to beat him before he guarantees any matches, and Crusher doesn’t deserve a shot because the Universal Champion’s last name will be Hennig and losers don’t get anything! Gorilla & The Brain debate about the championship match later tonight and just who they think will win; Gorilla’s pick Rogers, The Brain picked Hennig!
Bill Apter is in the back as Bill Dundee with The Sheepherders brags about how his team will be the next Global Tag Team Champions, and that the R-N-R Express and Brad Armstrong are losers! Dundee waving the New Zealand flag leads his team/partners to the ring! Ricky, Robert, and Brad a team some call the Rock-N-Lightning Express tells Apter that they’re happy being in the WWS and tonight they’ll take it to Dundee and his team!
SIX-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH: 1 fall-20 minutes BILL DUNDEE/THE SHEEPHERDERS Defeated THE ROCK-N-ROLL EXPRESS/BRAD ARMSTRONG by Pinfall 5 of the 6 wrestlers was brawling as Dundee stayed out of the match as much as he can. Ricky/Robert/Brad used their quickness to their advantage; but the brawling and Dundee’s dirty tactics turn the match to their favor. The closing part of the match saw The Herders & R-N-R brawl distracting the referee who didn’t see Dundee nail Armstrong with the flag allowing Armstrong to fall pray to Williams pinning him after the Battering Ram and Running Knee Smash! (Time of match 15:03)
After a brief intermission Jack Tunney, members of the Michigan State Athletic Commission, and the referee (holding the Universal Championship) was in the ring. Both wrestlers made their entrance as Gary Michael Cappetta made the formal championship match introductions!
WWS UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: 1 fall- To A Finish BUDDY ROGERS Defeated CURT HENNIG by Submission Hennig to the match to the Nature Boy, chops, dropkicks, and hits the Axe busting open Rogers and almost pinning the Nature Boy. Hennig continued his assault hitting a running knee lift that rocked Rogers and again coming close to being pinned! Rogers leaving the ring to get some space to regroup, Hennig following was a mistake as The Nature Boy posted Hennig head 1st into the ringpost busting him open, nearly getting disqualified. The Nature Boy went on the offensive almost pinning Hennig after a piledriver, then tried using his foot on the rope to pin him, only for the referee to catch him. Rogers was turning up his offense working on Hennig’s knee, set in his Figure 4 on 3 separate occasions, before finally Hennig gives up! (Time of Match 41:13)
The bloody and battered newly crowned Universal Champion received his belt from Jack Tunney as he holds the belt high as the fans chat “Nature Boy!” Gorilla & The Brain closes out the broadcast as we see the WWS logo to dark

WORLD WIDE SPORTS Presents LIVE WRESTLING January, Week 3, Year 1, Winnipeg Arena, Winnipeg, Manitoba Event taped for TSN/WWS+
SINGLES DARK MATCH: 1 fall-15 minutes JONNIE STEWART Defeated JIM POWERS by pinfall Powers started fast dominating Stewart with his speed. Stewart’s dirty tactics gave him the advantage going to into the finish using his rumored surgical enhanced knee to do Powers in! (Time of Match 7:03)
The TSN-WWS opening plays as we go to Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan welcoming the viewers (as you can hear the capacity crowd chatting “Weasel”!) Gorilla & The Brainr went over tonight’s card from Winnipeg! The wrestlers for the 1st match are ready……Let’s go to the ring!
TAG TEAM MATCH: 1 fall-15 minutes MR. X/STEVE REGAL Defeated CHAZ TAYLOR/SD JONES Jones & Taylor was working great as a unit with quick tags keeping their opponents on defense. Regal experience over Taylor showed as he isolated Taylor in his team’s side of the ring. Regal and X doubled up on the young Chaz with Regal using a suplex tagging out to X ( loaded his mask with an object) delivered a headbutt to Taylor setting up for the pin. (Time of Match 8:05)
Bill Apter is in the back interviewing a very cocky Shane Douglas and his cheerleader Francine! The self proclaimed Franchise stated that WWS is lucky to have a caliber athlete like him, tonight Scorpio will be easy pickings and he wants only the best competition WWS has to offer! As Douglas & Francine was heading to the ring; Apter caught up with 2 Cold Scorpio. Scorpio explained to the fans watching that he’s wrestled the best worldwide, and is looking to make an impact in WWS, at Douglas’ expense!
SINGLES MATCH: 1 fall- 20 minutes SHANE DOUGLAS Defeated 2 COLD SCORPIO by pinfall Scorpio started fast keeping Douglas of balance, even getting a near fall after a moonsault! Douglas was in trouble by with a-bit of assistance from Francine raking Scorpio’s eyes, The Franchise bounced back hitting his Pittsburgh Plunge that Scorpio barely kicked out of. The action spilled out of the ring as the 2 brawled before they both returned to the ring before getting counted out. Scorpio got control again and was set to finish off Douglas as he climbed to the top turnbuckle; Francine again interfered tripping Scorpio causing him to fall hard to the mat from the turnbuckle; Douglas using his rolling suplexes finished off Scorpio for the win. (Time of Match 10:54)
Douglas got on the microphone as Scorpio was leaving to the back; was demeaning the city of Winnipeg, Scorpio, and was challenging anyone to face him in the future …….You can hear Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” play as you see Sandman with the fans pointing to Douglas; acknowledging his challenge!
Bill Apter is with the Hennigs, Larry tells Apter there’s no tougher family than them! Curt adds, sooner or later Rogers and him will clash again for that Universal belt, he will walk out of Atlantic City the North Atlantic Champion, and his father and him will become Global Tag Team Champions. He then adds ironically tonight they’ll beat Brazil & Destroyer because they’re not Hennigs and they are! As the Hennigs head to the ring, Apter discusses Brazil’s & Destroyer’s loses to Curt in Detroit! Brazil stats that tonight they’ll right the wrongs done by the Hennigs! Destroyer adds that he knows in Detroit that mask guy that helped Curt, wasn’t Larry The Axe, because he was smaller……A gentleman gives Destroyer a letter with a rose, the masked man asked the guy who sent him; the guy replied a special someone, then quickly leaves! Destroyer throws the letter and rose down as Brazil and the masked man heads to the ring.
WWS GLOBAL TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH: 1 fall- 20 minutes LARRY & CURT HENNIG Defeated BOBO BRAZIL/ THE DESTROYER by Pinfall As the bell sounded the 4 wrestlers started to fight, the referee restored order as Curt & the Destroyer started. The masked man controlled the younger Hennig until Brazil tagged in Brazil maintaining control over Curt until a mistimed charge into the corner. As the Hennigs was double teaming and continuing their assault on Brazil; Destroyer paying attention to the match trying to encourage Brazil did not see the masked man from Detroit approaching from behind. The unknown man struck Destroyer with a tire iron to the back of his neck knocking Destroyer out; as the attacker leaves he placed another letter and rose on Destroyer’s laid out body! Brazil now without his partner who was assaulted and assisted to the back held his own but fell to the Axe delivered by Larry Hennig! (Time of Match 17:13) Gorilla and the Brain discuss the possibilities of the identity of Destroyer’s attacker, as we now go to Bill Apter with Stan Hansen! Hansen with tobacco juice dripping from the mouth states; he had a great time beating the Crusher, and that tonight he’s giving an open invitation for someone else to get their ass kicked! Hansen pushed Apter out of the way and heads to the ring! As Gary Michael Cappetta announced Hansen, the Texan grabbed the microphone from the announcer! As Hansen was screaming for an opponent to come he didn’t notice the Crusher come from behind!
OPEN CHALLENGE MATCH: 1 fall- 20 minutes STAN HANSEN Defeated THE CRUSHER by Disqualification The Crusher wasted little time giving the Texan a taste of what was done to him in Detroit! The 2 wrestlers started to brawl as the Crusher got a hold of that bull rope Hansen used on him in Detroit choking and then nailing the Texan with the cowbell busting open Hansen and losing the match by disqualification! (Time of Match 3:41)
After the match as Hansen left for the back the Crusher to the fans delight swung the bull rope over his head! Bill Apter is with the Iron Sheik who’s berating the USA until Apter tells Sheiky their in Canada; Sheik say they’re as bad as USA, Superfly Snuka will have his back broke, and Sheiky will look great for Iran! As Sheik was walking to the ring Jimmy Snuka walks past Apter not doing his interview and also heads to the ring!
RETURN MATCH FROM DETROIT: 1 fall, 20 minutes IRON SHEIK Defeated JIMMY SNUKA by pinfall The Super Fly and the Sheik started the match in the isle on the way to the ring! Snuka didn’t give the Sheik time to disrobe took the fight to the Iranian, headbutt, chops and just taking it to the Iranian! Sheik made a comeback using dirty tricks, his power, and a loaded boot as he kicked Snuka in the throat and got the pin placing his foot on the rope! (Time of Match 8:01)
As Snuka gave chase to the Sheik who’s running to the back; Hennan gets up tells Monsoon he has important business to do. As the Brain leaves Roddy Piper takes his place telling the Gorilla he’s there to improve the telecast! Bill Apter is with The Million Dollar Man, asked DiBiase who’s his teammate? DiBiase with Virgil, stats and partner not only a fine wrestler like him, but one that also can hang with him in his elite social circle……Tully Blanchard enters with JJ Dillon! Blanchard & Dillon says that corporations do collaborate with each other on projects; none bigger than the Global Tag Title! DiBiase adds that like Blanchard they both know how to beat their opponents! As DiBiase, Virgil, Blanchard, & Dillon heads to the ring Apter is with Magnum & Duggan. Magnum says Blanchard & DiBiase are old foes of his and that no matter the numbers are against them; they know how to beat them! Duggan adds that this battle is an old battle of a Blue Collar Crew against the Rich & Powerful, and it’s now time to kick their ass, hooooooo!
WWS GLOBAL TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT MATCH: 1 fall- 20 minutes TED DiBIASE/TULLY BLANCHARD Defeats MAGNUM TA/HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN by pinfall Duggan brawled and overpowered DiBiase until he made a tag! Once Magnum entered the match it changed from a power attack to ground wrestling! Dillon seeing his team in trouble had Virgil distract the referee allowing for some dirty tactics to swing the match to DiBiase/Blanchard’s favor. Blanchard/DiBiase used quick tags and great wrestling to keep Magnum on the defensive. The match broke down into a fight at the end as all 4 wrestlers was in the ring, as the referee was sending Magnum to his corner, didn’t see Dillon hand Blanchard his shoe; as DiBiase held Duggan as Blanchard off the middle turnbuckle nails Hacksaw between his eyes and then covered Duggan with his feet on the ropes! (Time of Match 15:20) Dillon & company hightailed it to the back with TA & Duggan giving chase as the ring crew is setting up for a contract signing in the ring! Gorilla & Piper discusses the upcoming card in Atlantic City next week, Gorilla asked Piper who will be his guest on the Pit; smiled and tell Monsoon non of his business, Gorilla smiled stating that WWS officials hasn’t told him yet, Piper said it going to be The Crusher! Gorilla smiled and tells Piper he better have beer and a good cigar if he wants a smooth Pit!
UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH CONTRACT SIGNING FOR THE ATLANTIC CITY CARD! The table is set up, Jack Tunney, Bill Apter, and WWS Universal Champion Buddy Rogers are in the ring! Tunney stated that this is a momentous occasion as the Champion will be defending his title in Atlantic City! Rogers tells Apter that he’s looking forward to facing a worthy challenger…….Bobby Hennan leads Nick Bockwinkle into the ring, for the contract signing! As everyone sits down, the Brain tells Rogers he made a big mistake not signing a contract to be a member of his Family! Bockwinkle looks at the title belt sitting at the end of the table, says that moving forward he’s happy to reunite with the Brain and together they’ll win the championship (signs the contract.) Rogers tells Bockwinkle that he’s more than welcome to have a Weasel in his corner, but if he gets involved he’ll pop the Weasel (signs the contract.) Jack Tunney looks over the signatures on the contract, then proclaims on January, Week 4 in Atlantic City, the Universal Championship Match is official, the 2 wrestlers engaged in a stairdown to end the segment!
The Brain rejoins Gorilla at the announcer’s table as Piper leaves, Gorilla tells the Brain that his job was to announce! Brain tells Gorilla not only is he the premier broadcast journalist of the WWS, but he has decided to bring back the Hennan Family and that not only has Bockwinkle signed, Ray Stevens, Blackjack Mulligan, and coming soon the Masked Superstar are members of the Family! Apter is with Harley Race. Race explains that his loss to the Crusher was not shocking, said the Crusher is a tough opponent! Continued addressing that he need this victory and will not lose to a part timer like Severn; Race heads to the ring! Dan Severn joins Apter for his pre-match interview, stats that a victory would be an amazing achievement when it comes to Harley Race, unfortunately Race will be going 0-2 in WWS after tonight.
SINGLE MATCH: 1 fall-30 minutes HARLEY RACE VS DAN SEVERN The 2 wrestlers exchanged handshakes before starting the match in a slugfest! For the opening minutes neither men would get an advantage over the other until the match spilled outside of the ring; Race rammed Severn head 1st into the ringpost busting him open. Race continued his assault until a mistimed move when Severn was in the corner, Race charged and Severn moved as Race goes shoulder first into the post. Severn worked on Race’s arm and used his MMA style. Race managed to comeback clipping Severn’s knee, using an Indian Death lock a couple of time to weaken the Beast, then managed to use 2 Piledrivers to finally put him away for the win. Bill Apter is with Curt Hennig; Apter asked Hennig about the fact the winner of this Battle Royal will face him in Atlantic City @ The Tropicana to determine the North Atlantic Champion; the winner may be his father Larry Hennig! Curt responded by saying the Hennig’s will not fight and if his dad wins I guess Tunney will hand him the North Atlantic Belt, any other wrestler better realize in Atlantic City he’s coming for 1 thing another championship to add to his collection……Larry Hennig walks in and corrected his son Curt on something, business and blood; if he wins the battle royal then they’ll have to do business for that North Atlantic Belt, as Larry left for the ring, Curt had a stunned look on his face!
$25,000 BATTLE ROYAL: over the top elimination- to a finish HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN Wins Last Eliminating HARLEY RACE The wrestlers start the battle, Dan Severn has Larry Hennig leaning over the ropes, Hennig is eliminated. Tully Blanchard & Ted DiBiase is double teaming Duggan, DiBiase sets to deliver a running double ax handle as Blanchard is holding Duggan, Duggan moves as Blanchard back drops DiBiase over the top. DiBiase is gone. Stan Hansen has Scorpio, tossing him over the top, bye bye Scorpio! As Hansen was mocking Scorpio, Brazil from behind with an assist by Scorpio, Hansen is eliminated! Snuka tossed out Blanchard, Iron Sheik was originally eliminated but snuck back in tossing out Magnum TA. Shane Douglas was fighting Brazil only for Bobo to toss out the Franchise. Snuka & Duggan was going at it, Duggan eliminated the Superfly! Brazil tossed out Iron Sheik, this time the elimination was final and the Sheik is gone. The Crusher and Duggan was fighting near the ropes when Hansen came back to the ring, pulled out Crusher and the 2 brawled to the dressing room area. Race has Brazil in trouble and Bobo is gone. Duggan & Severn was going at it as Race was watching, Race helps Duggan eliminate Severn! Race and Duggan battled for a bit but Duggan got Race staggering on the ropes…..A big clothesline from Hacksaw, Race is gone…….Duggan wins the Battle Royal! (Time of Match 37:31)
Jack Tunney presents the check and trophy to Duggan, The Hennigs come to the ring as Curt was disrespecting Duggan, Larry The Axe nails Duggan from behind breaking the trophy, Curt has the $25,000 check and tears it up! Brazil armed with a chair comes to the rescue as Gorilla & The Brain closes out the broadcast……..WWS logo to dark!

TAG TEAM DARK MATCH: 1 fall-15 minutes SD JONES/ JAKE MILLIMAN Defeated THE TEXAS HANGMEN by Pinfall This was a quick match to warm up the fans that saw both teams try to win the match. The end came when Jones used his Philly shuffle and punch on Killer! (Time of Match 8:18)
A packed house at the Tropicana tonight; Gorilla Monsoon is joined tonight by Jim Ross as they’re set to call this action packed night of professional wrestling!
SINGLES MATCH: 1 fall-15 minutes SAM HOUSTON Defeated STEVE REGAL By pinfall Houston got off to a fast start only using 3 moves before hitting his Bulldog; Regal lucky he was near the ropes placed his foot on it to break the cover. Regal tried slowing down the Texan by leaving the ring but the young cowboy made his opponent return to the ring where he finished him off with a 2nd Bulldog! (Time of Match 5:21)
As Houston was two stepping and celebrating his victory; Monsoon & Ross went over tonight’s amazing card. You can hear the chat “Weasel” as the Brain was leading his tag team of Stevens/ Mulligan to the ring. The Brain stopped at the announcers table proclaiming tonight Baba/ Inoki might as well have stayed in their room and ordered some Chinese food. Monsoon quickly corrected the Brain telling him that they’re Japanese, typical Heenan response “How am I supposed to know?”
WWS GLOBAL TAG TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes BLACKJACK MULLIGAN/ RAY STEVENS Defeated ANTONIO INOKI/ GIANT BABA by pinfall/Hennan interference Baba started for the Japanese team dominating both Mulligan and Stevens. Inoki continued punishing Stevens until a missed timed charge into the corner. Stevens and Mulligan took turns beating on Inoki; the Japanese legend makes a hot tag to Baba! Baba again, comes in and dominates both Stevens and Mulligan until I missed timed referee bump. The 4 wrestlers was in the ring fighting, the Brain managed to slip something to Mulligan, the Texan loaded his glove and applies his Claw to Inoki who had no choice, but to be pinned in defeat when the referee regain consciousness. (Time of Match 17:22)
The Brain jumping for joy celebrating his tag teams victory, before the Brain could leave Baba with a massive chop to the top of head of the Weasel; Mulligan and Stevens helped their manager to the back! Gorilla & JR wonders if the Brain will make it to manage Bockwinkel in tonight’s main event.
The cameras caught up with the superstars/wrestlers as they were enjoying the Atlantic City sites and gambling before tonight’s event. Bill Apter caught up with Universal Champion Buddy Rogers while he was playing blackjack. The Champion states he is up a couple thousand dollars, telling Apter just like blackjack, wrestling is also a skill he’s very good at. Apter asked the Champ about Bobby Heenan being in the corner of his challenger tonight. The champion replied that if Weasel sticks his nose into his business; the old saying pop goes the weasel will happen.
“This Is Extreme (ECW theme)” plays as special ring announcer, Joey Styles enters the ring! Ooooooooh mmmmmy GGGGGawd, the chats of “ECW” ring through the arena as Styles informs the fans that this match is under “Extreme Rules!” As he was introducing Shane Douglas, he made his way into the ring taking Styles’ microphone and started a profanity laced promo! As the Franchise was insulting the city, the fans, and calling Styles a dork…….. You hear the opening chords of “Enter Sandman”, the fan started to sing along with the song bringing out The Extreme Icon; Sandman! As the Sandman was taking his time getting to the ring Bill Alfonso slides into the ring to officiate the match!
EXTREME RULES: 1 fall-20 minutes (Referee Bill Alfonso) SHANE DOUGLAS Defeated SANDMAN by pinfall The Franchise didn’t wait for Sandman to get in the ring as he met his opponent out of the ring as the 2 wrestlers started their fight brawling threw the fans! The Sandman bleeding from the can of beer, he smashed on his forehead managed to toss Douglas into the ring; as Sandman yelled “this is Extreme “ as he tossed some chairs in the ring. Douglas managed to turn the tide for a little bit bending and breaking a chair using it on Sandman’s back, then hits a vicious piledriver on another chair but was not able to put away Sandman. Sandman rallied using his Singapore Cain and busted open the Franchise and getting a near fall after a Heinekenrana! In the closing moments of the match, both wrestlers are bloody and battered, Douglas used 2 Belly To Belly’s to finally finish off his opponent. (Time of Match 16:09)
After the match a bloody Douglas stated; it doesn’t matter if it’s extreme fighting, or wrestling he’ll always come out on top. As Douglas was continuing berating people of this city, Jimmy Snuka comes to the ring! The Superfly nailed Douglas with a chop or 2, sends him into the ropes, leapfrogging, Douglas into the other ropes….grabbing the top rope to stop his momentum before sliding underneath the bottom rope, pointing to his head stating that he’s too smart for this before leaving to the back!
SINGLES MATCH: 1 fall-20 minutes TULLY BLANCHARD defeated MAGNUM TA by Pinfall Blanchard got the offensive advantage early until a mistimed dropkick opened the door for TA. Magnum got going with his offense almost scoring a pin after his dropkicks. The action spilled out of the ring as the 2 longtime rivals brawled, Blanchard posted TA head first into the ringpost busting him open. When it looked as if TA was finished, Magnum makes a comeback nailing Tully with his Belly to Belly unfortunately during the move Tully’s foot kicked the referee…….As the ref was down Dillon came in stomped on TA to get his attention as he drops an object. As TA had Dillon against the turnbuckles unleashing some punches, Blanchard loads the object into his knee pad striking TA in the back with his knee, then used a knee drop to the head, Dillon revived the referee in time to make the count! (Time of Match 16:33)
Gorilla and JR talk up the debut of Championship Wrestling on USA/TSN which starts February, Week 1! Gorilla informs the viewers that the Road Warriors will be making their WWS debut, and that there will be a lot of action going on with Championship Wrestling! The ring crew is done setting up for Piper’s Pit as “Scotland The Brave” plays bringing out the Rowdy-One!
PIPER’S PIT Hosted by ROWDY RODDY PIPER Guest THE CRUSHER The Scotchman opened up his Pit insulting the fans, Atlantic City, then announced that his guest is nothing more than a thief because he has Stan Hansen’s bullrope. The Crusher with the bullrope entered the Pit, stating that 1 he’s not a thief, 2 if Hansen wants his bullrope back come and get it. The Crusher smoking his cigar blew smoke into Piper’s face; The Rowdy-One then started insulting The Crusher’s appearance calling him a slop……..Crusher drops the bullrope grabs Piper forcing him into a corner…….From nowhere Stan Hansen grabbing a stool nails Crusher from behind! Piper & Hansen putting the boots to Crusher then Hansen regained his bullrope starts to choke Crusher until Jones, R-N-R, & Houston comes to Crusher’s forcing Piper & Hansen to leave! Crusher gets up grabs the microphone coughing and yelling for either Piper or Hansen to comeback and fight like men!
JR was wondering how Hansen snuck in, Gorilla has a replay of the ring crew setting up the Pit with one of the crew me a little bit big with a ball cap pull down over his face rolls under the ring after they got done setting up the Pit! Gorilla says that there will be held to pay for both Piper and Hansen for what they’ve done to the Crusher!
WWS GLOBAL TAG TITLE TOURNAMENT: 1 fall-20 minutes THE VACHONS Defeated THE ROCK-N-ROLL EXPRESS by Pinfall R-N-R was using their speed and quick tags early in the match! The Vachons getting frustrated with their smaller opponents took the fight out of the ring as the referee was trying to restore order and distracted by 1 of the Vachons; Cornette and the Midnights struck as they doubled up on Gibson whipping him into the post where he got busted open! Down and out Gibson was laying in a pool of blood as the Vachons outnumbered and defeated Morton after Mad Dog’x Piledriver! (Time of Match 9:34)
As EMT’s was tending to Gibson, the camera followed Morton to the dressing room where he had to be separated from Cornette & the Midnights yelling that this is not over as Cornette and company leaves out the door!
SINGLES MATCH: 1 fall-30 minutes BOBO BRAZIL & LARRY HENNIG Wrestled to a Double Countout Brazil wasted little time jumping the Axe as soon as he entered the ring as Gary Michael Cappetta scrambled for safety. The 2 wrestlers battled in and out of the ring in the opening stages of the match. Brazil had thing going his was and nailed Hennig with his CoCo Butt, only got a 2 count. The Axe managed to turn the tide and hit Brazil with the Axe but was not able to pin his opponent! The 2 wrestlers again managed to leave the ring brawling to the dressing room as the referee counted to 10! (Time of Match 7:09)
Nick Bockwinkle is with Bill Apter, the challenger is not happy as The Brain will not be ringside to offer his guidance for this important championship match. Bockwinkle warned Baba that Blackjack will get revenge for laying hands on the head of the family! As for Rogers he’s coming for that Gold Belt and he’ll bring it home to the Heenan Family. We are set for the 1st of 2 championship matches for tonight. Jack Tunney is in the ring with the North Atlantic Title belt as both Duggan & Hennig made their entrance! GMC makes the formal championship introductions

WWS NORTH ATLANTIC CHAMPIONSHIP: 1 fall-45 minutes CURT HENNIG Defeats JIM DUGGAN By Disqualification Duggan has the power advantage but Hennig’s quickness paid off in the early part of the match gaining a near fall after delivering his dropkicks. Hennig’s quickness only got him so far as the brawling and power techniques of Duggan caught up with Hennig! Hennig managed to recuperate after Duggar’s attack managed to get his bigger opponent in the Hennig-Plex; but the power of Duggan we’re still present as he powered out of the pinfall. With the crowd chatting “USA!” Duggan made his comeback picking up Hennig using a slam, only for the referee to get kicked……Duggan plants Hennig…..Duggan is set in the three-point stance……the Duggan Clothesline and covers Hennig; no referee to make the count…..Larry Hennig runs and slides into the ring….Duggan sees the attack coming grabs his trusty 2x4, The Axe quickly exits the ring, the referee regains to his feet, sees Curt laid out, sees Duggan with the 2x4 calls for the bell! (Time of Match 27:32)
The Hennigs grabbing the championship belt hightailing it out of the arena like two thieves in the night! You see Jack Tunney & the referee discussing the results of the match! As Tunney was returning to the dressing room Bill Apter trying to get a word about the North Atlantic Title, gets a no comment from Tunney! Monsoon & JR are puzzled that Hennig appeared to have won the North Atlantic Championship in this manner.
Nick Bockwinkle made his way to the ring, as the challenger was waiting on the arrival of the Universal Champion. “John William’s Superman Theme” plays! The pageantry of the entrance made by the current WWS Universal Heavyweight Champion Buddy Rogers complete with a spectacular laser light show! Once the champion made his entry into the ring GMC will now make his formal championship match introduction!
“This is your main event of the evening! 1 fall- 60 minutes, for the Universal Heavyweight Championship! 1st the challenger; from Beverly Hills, CA…..245 lbs….Nick Bockwinkle! And now, the reigning and defending Universal Heavyweight Champion, from Camden, NJ, weighing 227 lbs……” The Original Nature Boy”……Buddy Rogers!
WWS UNIVERSAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: 1 fall-60 minutes BUDDY ROGERS Defeated NICK BOCKWINKLE by Disqualification Both wrestlers feeling out the other traded moves for about 7 minutes into the match! Bobby Heenan with an ice pack came down to the ring, tripping the champion when he was rebounding off the ropes; the referee jumps out of the ring and ejects Heenan from being at ringside, as Bockwinkle takes the advantage. For about 22 minutes Bockwinkle had Rogers in big trouble almost winning the championship on 3 pin attempts. Bockwinkle locks in his sleeper, Rogers piggybacking Bockwinkle driving them hard into the turnbuckle! The fans clearly on Rogers side went crazy as the champ takes over and starts his offense! Rogers attacked Bockwinkle setting up for the Figure Four….The challenger managed to reach the ropes! The match has reached the 40 minute mark as both wrestlers are battered Rogers again setting up for his Figure Four…..Locks it in will Bockwinkle submit……Ray Stevens claims to the top rope dives onto Rogers the referee calls for the bell…. (Time of Match 43:12)
Stevens attacking Rogers, Jimmy Snuka comes to his mentor’s rescue….Snuka & Rogers in control and chased of both Bockwinkle & Stevens! Gorilla & JR reminds the viewers that Championship Wrestling will air on USA/TSN……WWS logo to dark!

I want to clarify moving forward with the WWS. The fed is moving into February and week 1, which will have 2 cards that week…Championship Wrestling which will be the weekly TV card that’ll lead in to the Live Wrestling events that’ll take place on weeks 1, 3, and 4 (monthly Cobo Hall card). In short, assume championship wrestling takes place on the Wednesday and the live wrestling takes place the weekend of.
